FAITH = LIFESTYLE.
Bible FAITH is the SUBSTANCE & EVIDENCE.
It was living the life through given power.
Understand what FAITH is changes everything.
We cammot start to understand without GOD.
THE WORLD CANNOT RECEIVE THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH>

Note well CANNOT. GOD only gives power to the right people.
No wonder most just fail to know what is going on.
They are not allowed to know.

The schools have no idea how much damage they are doing.
Very sad, I thought the best would be there. I did go to Loma Linda U, and it was better. Still rather cliquish, as in their own world, rather than reaching out. But better.
So, are you still SDA? My son still ia apiritual, believes in God, is a scientist, but not legalistic.

CORRECT, one must ACCEPT the WORD of God, which He said He will never change.

Many on here have the Covenant meanings mixed up also have the Law wrong

I so agree with this. My two children, son and dau, choose to go to SDA colleges, Southern, then Andrews. Both after leaving, no longer were SDA. They were both leaders in the community, son volunteer of year in high school, never went to SDA schools, and such cliquishness. Meaness at Andrews. My daughter thought they worshiped EGW more than Jesus. At Southern, they sent my son home from Vespers, first time, because he had sandels on!!! WOW, JESUS WORE SANDELS most likely. He was praised in our community for his science and involvment, but meant to feel like dirt and all privilaeges taken away, his car, etc. because he missed worships too many times in the dorm. He was a physics student, and also worked. He left the second semester and used his scholarship from state university, where he graduated Suma Cum Laude in Physics, honors in the major, and won the NASA award.
My daughter left Andrews after one year. Wish after a semester, because they destroyed her beliefs. Cruel. Once when she volunteered on a mission group, the leader told her she and her children (if she had them) would go to hell as she was true to a boyfriend who was Jewish back home. Go figure. It seems more truth in the church than others, but the control, officials, conferences, seem almost, can't find the right word. Misguided? to put it nicely.
Sorry, got carried away from frustration and hurt what happened.
Thanks, Bluebird. For reminding me why I decided not to go back to Avondale College.

Why did I leave the SDA church? Because I was tired of being treated like a second-class citizen by others in the church my entire life. I was never good enough, beautiful enough, or rich enough. I was tired of being criticized for everything I did. The Adventists who were kind to me are still my friends, but they are far-flung across the country. I attended the Carmichael SDA Church in California for several months and ONLY 1 PERSON ever spoke to me. SDAs tend to be cliquish, judgmental, and selfish. I have no issues with the theology. I just got tired of not having any friends in the church. I finally left 3 years ago after 42 years in the church and I am much happier. It is easier to be comfortable with yourself with the people around you are not finding fault with you all the time.

Sad but true in most but not all churches.

You will find on here that even tho you are out of the church you will be judged by those who hate the SDA denomination.

So put on your armor of God and stand firm!

From what U've told us, Robert, yeah! I definitely get the impresssion that the SDA church did U over.

Would that have happened if EGW was a true prophet.

I very much understand your feelings. The pastor that we love, who the "saints" gave problems to for not being in the mold, says his relationship is with Jesus, and hopes that is inclusive of others. He is close to retiring, and tired of the picky, self righteous, and saintly, well, not so saintly. Could it be possible that Satan works very hard to misguide those in the church? I agree with this pastor. Still try and "keep" Sabbath, if that is the correct term, but not as those, or most of those, in the church. Every day also is to be a day of rest in Jesus, as well as a special day, I think.

“Jesus is coming again!”

Clicks, hypocrites, and gossip could be the biggest reason for most because the devils busy making war among the members. It's always best to search our own hearts, be instant in prayer with our eyes heavenward.

How about the fact that it is a cult. This pity party of "nobody loves me" is really rich. Do you go to church so everyone can google over you or because you want to praise and worship the Lord Jesus Christ. Oh thats right you worship an archangel named micheal who stands at some mystical sanctuary crying my blood my blood while your sins are being investigated. Jesus Chirst paid for your sins on the cross and when the Holy Spirit convicts you of that you are saved. Live your life for Jesus not some deluded prophet.
