And I read it and found that the prophesy of Jonah was conditional, but Jonah declared half the truth to the people.

He said to them, "Yet 40 days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!"

But he KNEW the mercy of God (Jonah 2:9-10). Now seeing the repentance of the city and knowing that God had granted them mercy, he became upset.(Jonah 4:1-4)

The last verses of the book (v.5-11) occur towards the end of the 40 days. Was God going to retain His mercy indeed, or was He going to remember His anger against the city?

Jonah needed to be taught a lesson in Divine forbearance AGAIN.

The Lord bless you 8,000 times more as much as you have in your life now.

There is NO condition in "Jonah 3:4 Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown. " (Jonah 3:4).

There was.

For even while Jonah was preaching, "Yet forty days, and Nineveh SHALL BE OVERTHROWN." (Jonah 3:4)

In his heart, as he said, "I KNOW that You [God] are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm." (Jonah 4:2)

Are you going to be like Jonah and hide the Truth? Just as Jonah KNEW from experience the lovingkindness of God even while preaching fire and brimstone, so many are misrepresenting the character of God. Are you going to be one of their number?

There is _NO_ condition stated in the prophecy, it is emphatic.
