The rumors are false according to a hand written card we received from is wife a few years ago and obviously the conference also agrees they are false since Elder Venden has continued serving in the church even after retirement.

Venden's Book, "Never Without An Intercessor" had drawn some fire from the church's hiearchy. He writes about "pure grace" which some church leaders have said is in fact not the grace taught by inspiration or is not found compatable with the teachings of Ellen White on the subject. Amony many other things he talks about those who are saved 30 minutes before the "close of probation" and that they wouldnt have time to become sanctified before the timeline. To paraphrase a common line "just when Im almost out they want to pull me back in." I believe he remains a member of the church. Saddly any move toward the grace of Jesus Christ is met soundly with Ellen White rebukes who continues to define where the SDA church is going.

Not that anyone gives a flyin' fig about my quest for truth, but an illustration in a Venden sermon is what turned on the lights for me regarding RBF. I was confused about "faith without works is dead," and all of that vs. righteousness by faith alone. It had me confused. He said an orange tree has oranges on it BECAUSE is IS an orange tree, not so that it can be one. Bingo - with that, I got it! I'm not surprised he's gotten into trouble with the SDA conference officials. He gets it, and probably isn't afraid to state what he believes. I AM surprised, however, that he remains in the SDA church.

What kind of "stories" - why do you say that?

Yes, she does! Not bad for a woman who's been dead for decades! I hate it when she is called "inspiration," with which I am in total disagreement, and don't regard her as inspired!

SDA's are servants of satan. Most are blasphemers of the Holy Spirit, with no coming back from that.

Sure your mom likes Vendens books! She has never been born again if she is attracted to anything SDA.

Couldnt get letthetruthetc loaded. Yes GJ EGW as Joey Smith hold a tight reign on the faithful. As long as Adventism holds to doctrines like the IJ she will exsist devoid of the gospel. But then thats the purpose of any false teaching that denies the finished work of Christ.

Actually, the IJ explains how the blood of Christ is applied to our sins.

See http://www.pickle-publishing.com/papers/inves... . Before one's name can be written in the book of life pone must have confessed and repented of one's sins. Those sins are then covered by the blood of Christ.

Some good works to read on this subject are:
