Let see in deeper details what Tony Ortega doesn't want you to know:

#24 DAVID TOURETZKY.

“[Pavlovian] Classical conditioning has a well-developed computational theory… At present there are no theories of instrumental conditioning comparable in scope and explicitness… The goal of our work is to provide such a theory….
“Due to the pioneering work of B.F. Skinner on operant conditioning, we have coined the term “skinnerbot” to describe autonomous learning robots…”- David Touretzky

David S. Touretzky is a research scientist at Carnegie Mellon University whose questionable “research projects” have thus far cost the American taxpayer million of dollars.

The above quotes are excerpted from one of several research projects conducted by an entity co-founded by Touretzky called “The Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition.” The flawed theories upon which he bases his work have been known for decades to be of such damage to mankind, that a full public investigation of the value of Touretzky’s research projects, particularly in light of their cost, is overdue.

The experiments of Pavlov and Skinner that Touretzky reverently references in the above paper as the basis of his work are viewed by today’s society as the barbaric acts of madmen.

B.F. Skinner imprisoned his infant daughter for nearly a year in a “box” similar to those he built for rats. Skinner stated in an interview that he would rather burn his own children than destroy his research.

As author and educator Dr. Samuel Blumenfeld stated,“The child was “stimulated” and had to respond in a certain way, like a chicken or a rat in a cage, because they firmly believed that children are animals. If you believe, though, that children are human beings, you can’t train them like a rat.”

Skinner would be imprisoned for the rest of his life were he to carry out the same experiment today.

Although best known for his conditioning of dogs by deprivation, the first subjects Ivan Petrovich Pavlov experimented on were children. He punched holes in their cheeks to collect and measure their saliva.

Pavlov’s and Skinner’s experiments fed Behaviorist beliefs that, as Dr. Blumenfled states,“all children are animals and can be trained as animals.” John Watson, the most famous of Behaviorists, believed that researchers had to look at human beings “the same way you would look at the ox you slaughter.”
Touretzky puts a vague potential value on research projects which drain the taxpayers of millions. In actuality he is repackaging and selling other men’s theories under the sexy new label of “computer science.” By recycling Skinner’s box and his experiments on rodents, Touretzky has managed to make a very comfortable living dangling under the noses of the administrators of government funds the carrot that perhaps someday robots can be conditioned to react and “learn” like rats, as he considers humans do. In truth, these experiments appear to be a mere re-ringing of Pavlov’s bell inside Skinner’s torture chamber with a dash of Noam Chomsky to appear timely. For Touretzky has yet to provide a shred of evidence that the value of his contributions to science amount to more than the cost of his dead rats.

Little attention would be paid to Touretzky were he just another researcher dreaming up dubious projects in order to feed from the public trough. But Touretzky’s thirst is for power and fame as well as money.

Touretzky subscribes in full to the Behaviorist doctrine that man is an animal and his virulently racist remarks are in complete alignment with psychiatry’s practice of Eugenics which holds that dark-skinned races, among others “defectives,” are intellectually inferior. Racial and religious minorities are his favorite targets.

IT CONTINUE FROM MY LAST POST...

Touretzky is deeply involved in extremist activities. As an example, it has been calculated that, in less than a year, he spent over 300 of his supposed “working” hours participating in hate newsgroups and chat rooms. It must be presumed that Touretzky was paid full salary while he spent those 300 hours spreading hate on the internet, a fact that should be of concern to his employers at CMU as well as those government and private institutions that have thus far funded Touretzky’s research grants to the tune of more than $5,000,000.00.

This research, which involves experimentation on live rats, should itself perhaps be questioned in that Touretzky frankly admits that he is overpaid:

“My money comes mostly from the US govt, not corporations. So if we raise taxes and hike the NSF and NIH and DARPA budgets, that would be to my benefit.… I’m already overpaid.”– David Touretzky

David Touretzky Quotes

“… the Salvation Army … buncha f—-heads.”

“Man, Hispanics are f—-ed up, which is why they’re still working class. Dipshits.”

“F–k the Muslims.… check out the bloody Muslims .. jeez what loons.”

“Victoria’s Mormon Secret … Long sleeved bustiers!”

“this is NOT good publicity for the Mor(m)ons … he’s a psycho-Mormon.”

“I’m for post-partum abortion! Retro-active abortion! Up until, say, the age of six months.”

In one of his federal grant applications Touretzky wrote:

“This money will be used to help bring faculty and/or students from Historical Black Colleges and other institutions with large minority enrolments to Pittsburgh, for events aimed at increasing minority interest in the graduate programs affiliated with the Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition.”

In reality here is what Touretzky said and thinks about “Blacks and Minorities

“She [US Congresswoman] is the former ambassador to Micronesia! and she’s black. I should have known. What [sic] are all the really st00000pid congresswomen black?”

“The black underclass is a very, very sick culture, with terrible internal problems such as high rates of black-on-black murder, teenage pregnancy, educational failure, drug abuse, and so on. AA programs can’t help the black underclass, because those people are so screwed up they’re virtually unemployable….”

“There’s also a long rant about the sickness of black underclass culture, which again, I completely stand behind.”

[imgleft]http://www.religiousf reedomwatch.org/extremists/ima ges/touretzky-01.jpg[/imgleft] Touretzky maintains web sites via the CMU server that promote his bigoted, extremist agenda. As examples of the kind of sick content he encourages anyone to view, one of these sites uses pornography to mock and desecrate religious practices while another provides detailed instructions on how to build a fertilizer bomb (the kind Timothy McVeigh copied off the internet and used to massacre men, women and children in Oklahoma City).

When called to account for his hate activities, Touretzky is quick to hide behind the banner of “free speech”– a specious argument at best when one considers that Touretzky’s entire anti-religious hate campaign is specifically designed to denigrate the beliefs of others and thereby inhibit their ability to practice their religion and speak freely about their beliefs.

Recently one of Touretzky’s fellow newsgroup members proved this hypocrisy by posting to the internet information about Touretzky’s visits to a local sex shop and the purchases he makes there. Did Touretzky respect her right to “free speech?” Of course not. On the contrary, he kicked up such a row that the Internet Service Providers in question took the sites down, regardless of the fact that they were violating that individual’s Constitutional rights.

IT CONTINUES FROM MY LAST POST...

While racism and bigotry are sicknesses that we must tolerate in private individuals in order to have a free society, as taxpayers we are under no obligation to pay their salaries or tolerate their misuse of our public institutions. David Touretzky is using Carnegie Mellon University as a platform for his hate agenda, in violation of University policy. He constantly uses his position as a CMU professor to lend credibility to his views, even giving press interviews from his office. In a Danish TV interview Touretzky portrayed himself as an “expert” on matters about which he is utterly uninformed but again made it look as though CMU was sanctioning his interviews.

David Touretzky is not a person who makes the occasional discriminatory remark out of ignorance. On the contrary, he is engaged in a dedicated attack on races and religions.

For more information on David Touretzky and his extremist activities and associates, visit Religious Freedom Watch Anti-Religious Extremists Section.

We invite you to read the statements Touretzky has made and decide for yourself whether or not Touretzky should be allowed to continue his activities at the expense of the taxpayer. If you think he should not, contact your local Senator and Representative and request their assistance to look into Touretzky’s utilization of government funds. For more information on how to find your Senator or representative visit http://www.senate.gov/ and http://www.house.gov/ If you know of instances where David Touretzky has been involved in the waste or misuse of government funds you can also write to webmaster@religiousfreedomwatc h.org

At the same position (# 24) with David Touretzky, the Village Voice claims sociologist Stephen Kent as one of those individuals who, supposedly played a role for what hate monger reporter Tony Ortega say ""crippling" SCN.

Stephen Kent
Prejudice For Hire

Stephen Kent, a sociologist at the University of Alberta, Canada, is part of a small but virulent faction of sociologists active in the anti-religious movement. He has adopted the discredited theories of psychologist Margaret Singer and Richard Ofshe of “coercive persuasion” and “brainwashing,” as applied to new religious movements, and has placed himself in the employ of litigants as a paid expert witness. Such assertions and conduct, along with his unscientific methodology, have earned him the disrespect and ire of true professionals in his field.
Experts Review Kent:

If the measure of the value of a scholar is the level of esteem in which he is held by his colleagues, then Stephen Kent is a poor, poor man.

“Kent’s essays suffer from methodological flaws so grievous as to call into question the validity and reliability of Kent’s conclusions, especially as the foundation for sound legal or legislative action (with regard to conflicts with new religious movements at either the individual or collective levels). In fact the methodological inadequacies detected are indicative of a prejudice inappropriate to the practice of the social sciences (given the consensus on maintaining at least the regulative ideal of objectivity and value-neutrality).”

- Dr. Lorne L. Dawson, Associate Professor of Sociology and Religious Studies, University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario.

“If Kent really thinks that experts in “cult” cases should make $11,000 for each 13,000-words document based on their previous works they write, he may be right after all and academic integrity may, in fact, be in serious danger.”

- Dr. Massimo Introvigne, Director, Center for Studies on New Religions

“Kent [has] simply constructed a naive fantasy…supported by Kent’s own lack of direct contact with The Family and a rather limited and spotty access to its massive literature.”

- Dr. J. Gordon Melton, Center for Humanistic Studies

“Kent and his cronies (like hollow-earth enthusiasts, big foot believers, and other advocates of the irrational) have responded [to criticism from the academic community] with ad hominem arguments, convinced that any who would oppose their crackpot theories must be involved in some kind of sinister conspiracy against them….I examined [the] data and concluded that Prof. Kent had, indeed, violated the canons of academic research methodology as well as the ethical standards of mainstream scholarship.”

- Dr. James Lewis, Professor, University of Wisconsin

Canadians take pride in their multi-cultural heritage. They teach their children to not merely tolerate the diversities in race, creed and custom that form the foundation of their society, but to celebrate them. When individuals masquerading as “experts” but preaching bigotry and intolerance are permitted to have influence in their teaching institutions and the courts, Canadians undermine the unity they have struggled so hard to preserve. Stephen Kent promotes and profits from divisiveness. His is an influence Canada can ill afford.

PFFT! Ortega knows more about scientology/dianetics/hubbard than you will EVAH know.

The funny thing is, you think youre delivering an effective blow to the enemy, when in fact you help the indexing of Ortega's blogs by pushing threads like this along.

What is proven by marcotai's spam is that he/she is a puppet of the Church of Scientology, parroting their lies and slander but not understanding anything.

The debate is about the Church of Scientology, its lies, crimes, abuse and fraud. You are quoting from the Church of Scientology in a vain attempt to distract the discussion.

Prove ANYTHING actually written by Tony Ortega is false. THAT is the ONLY way you can legitimately attack Tony's articles about your little, corrupt "church".

Your problem: It's all true.

So you try the Scientology "standard tech", lies, slander, distraction, insults, ad hominem attacks, fair game and all the other dirty tricks of a scam and a con.

Because you CAN'T use the TRUTH. The TRUTH is your enemy. LIES are your friends.

This is the standard Church of Scientology response to reports that they don't want you to see.

Lies, slander, fair game, ad homenim attacks, insults, half-truths and all the other dirty tricks of a con and a scam.

The ONLY legitimate response by an HONEST organization to an article they don't like is the TRUTH. Disprove lies, tell the truth.

Your problem: Everything Tony reported IS the truth.

So, your only recourse is lies and your other dirty tricks. Your response PROVES that everything Tony reported was TRUE.

So true. As per usual the Keystone Kops runnung the "church" are just bringing more negative publicity on themselves, and Ortega's blog becomes more popular by the day.

You can't help but notice that clams never post links to what they're attacking, while we think nothing of it and do so all the time. I think it has to do with Sun Tzu and "never advancing an enemy line" or something similar.

Well, may be it's not so strange, since people with questionable backgrounds can't confront and discuss the questionable activities of people with questionable background. ;)

You wouldn't know a fact if it came up and bit you. What you posted was out of context, lies, slander and carefully selected opinions.

But if you want to make a big deal about FACTS, let's talk about solid, provable FACTS about Scientology's actual results. Hint: The solid, provable facts about Scientology's results are that THE PROMISED RESULTS NEVER APPEAR.

How about those facts? Why haven't you commented about THOSE facts? We've been discussing those much longer than your silly attempts at slander.

Except, of course, that the proof has proven nothing of the sort. The actual facts, in the REAL world, have time and again proven LRH wrong, wrong, wrong.

Only you TRUE BELIEVERS think Hubbard was right "all the time". No, he was full of it -- more wrong than right every time.

#23 KEN DANDAR, GRAHAM BERRY AND FORD GREENE
A HISTORY OF FAILURES, ANTI-RELIGIOUS SENTIMENT, GREED AND
PSYCHIATRIC TREATMENTS.

“Dandar is an idiot. That's my response to that. He hasn't
got a clue. He is the worst of the worst of what makes the American legal system so out of control. He is an ambulance chasing gold digger" - Mike Rinder (outspoken critic of CoS and ex-scientology executive}

Ken Dandar received more than 2 millions dollars from one of his former client (Bob Minton founder of Lisa McPharson Trust) in need of legal help in trying to fight CoS.
Result?

_Lisa McPharson Trust bankrupted.

_Bob Minton lost tens of millions of dollars and eventually was forced to ally with the Church going against his former attorney K. Dandar.
Why? Because Ken Dandar couldn't withdraw from a case he filed against the Church of Scientology because NO OTHER MORE COMPETENT LAWYER wanted to take his badly messed case.
One of those said:“this case is evidently build up on prejudices and anti-religious hatred”.
“That puts Dandar “in a pickle,” the St. Petersburg Times reports,“because Dandar had agreed to stop suing Scientology in a confidential 2004 settlement, and a state court seeking to enforce the deal has fined him $50,000 plus $1,000 for every day he stays in the case”

-Ken Dandar has never given back the 2 millions dollars to Mr. Minton because according to him
that check was received by “anonymous” means. LOL

--GRAHAM E. BERRY is an unemployed attorney. He stated under oath, in a court of law, that his psychiatric problems, alcohol dependency and treatment prevent him from practicing law.
A California State Court has declared Berry to be a vexatious litigant** because he has filed so many frivolous and harassing lawsuits.
Berry has been ordered to pay approximately $100,000 in sanctions and attorneys’ fees to Scientologists as a direct result of the frivolous lawsuits he has filed.
Berry lost a copyright case for infringement of a work by L. Ron Hubbard. His client, Keith Henson, lost a jury verdict for what is believed to be the largest award in US history for infringement of a single work, and then conveniently filed for bankruptcy to avoid paying this judgment.

**“The Court having read and considered the moving papers of Petitioners Church of Scientology International, Isadore Chait and Glenn Barton, opposing papers of Graham E. Berry and supplemental papers filed by the parties and having heard oral argument thereon, the Court hereby finds Graham E. Berry to be a vexatious litigant within the meaning of C.C.P.§§ 391 (b)(1)(3)(4). Effective immediately, Graham E. Berry is required to comply with the procedures set forth in C.C.P.§391.7.”

Ford Greene
In an article published by the Marin Independent Journal, Ford Greene admits having been involved in deprogramming people including his own sister.
The article makes reference to www.friendsofsananselmo.org which is a website that documents Ford Greene’s bizarre activities and run-ins with the law.
Ford Greene is an attorney with a psychiatric history stretching back to his youth when he was committed to an institution by his family. The unaccomplished son of a wealthy San Francisco attorney, it was perhaps in an effort to finally win his parent’s favor that Greene took up “deprogramming”– the violent abduction and imprisonment of parishioners in an effort to force them to give up their faith. Greene’s parents had hired deprogrammers to abduct their daughter, Catherine, a member of the Unification Church, and Ford participated in the kidnapping and restraint of his then 20 year-old sister.
It was an extremely ugly, life-threatening two days for Catherine Greene who had been looking forward to a visit at home with her mother, only to find herself violently attacked within minutes of having walked through the front door. First she was jumped from behind by two men, then thrown to the floor, hands cuffed behind her back, feet bound together, blindfolded, then carried to a van and made to lie face down while her abductors drove her to a remote location. There, in a boarded-up room, her brother, Ford, and several accomplices held Catherine prisoner, subjecting her to constant verbal abuse and mind manipulation techniques in an attempt to break her religious beliefs. Finally Catherine was left with no choice but to cut herself severely with a broken bottle in order to force her captives to take her to a hospital. It cost her 19 stitches but she was able to contact friends and tell them of her plight. To prevent her escape, Catherine’s abductors arranged to have her transferred to a psychiatric hospital – the same hospital that Ford Greene had been committed to after threatening suicide years before. Eventually Catherine was able to contact an attorney who helped her to freedom.
Catherine later brought suit, and in a detailed statement accused her brother and his accomplices of having deprived her of numerous constitutional rights. But none of this seemed to phase Ford Greene. He believed he had found a “calling.”
Along with other opportunists like jewel-thief-turned-deprogramme r, Rick Ross, Greene became a member of the old Cult Awareness Network, an anti-religious organization that specialized in promoting the violent abduction and abuse of parishioners. Now a self-anointed “expert” on religion, Ford set out to breed as much fear and hatred as possible in an effort to frighten parents, husbands or wives into paying to have their family member “deprogrammed.” Among his victims was Rick Schnorr.
Schnorr, also a member of the Unification Church, was 27 years old and enroute to a business meeting when he was ambushed by Ford Greene and several others and physically restrained with a leather belt, handcuffs and leg bracelets. Schnorr was held captive for several days while Greene and his kidnapping team attempted to break Schnorr and force him to renounce his faith.
Greene “interrogated” his prisoner by screaming insults and obscenities at him and threatened to stuff a towel down Schnorr’s throat. Schnorr was forced to sleep with his hands and feet cuffed and chained to the belt around his waist – the type of restraint used by police for violent criminals. The kidnappers made veiled threats about breaking Schnorr’s bones if he did not cooperate. Greene physically intimidated Schnorr while he was bound and defenseless.

CONTINUE FROM ABOVE.

Rick Schnorr was eventually able to escape his kidnappers and later made a detailed statement for the court about the abuses perpetrated by Ford Greene and his accomplices.
Greene shows no remorse for the kidnapping and remains an advisor to a company that Rick Ross formed after the demise of the old Cult Awareness Network (CAN). Ross’s attempted deprogramming of a United Pentecostal parishioner resulted in a lawsuit that bankrupted the old CAN in 1996. C.A.N. is now under new, benevolent management.
Ford Greene followed in his family tradition and became a lawyer, but not having the skills or credibility of his father and grandfather, Ford decided to stick with shaking down religious groups rather than establish an honest practice. This became evident when Greene was reprimanded by the California Bar Association for lying to a California court. His clients also soon found him out and lodged complaints against him alleging incompetence. One client alleged that Greene made sexual advances toward her, another that Greene attempted to have her committed to a psychiatric ward in order to allow himself time to prepare a defense.
Greene’s police records list numerous arrests: Kidnapping, Trespassing, Battery of a Police Officer, Stalking and Burglary. The latter two charges resulted from his harassment of a young woman he was dating who was forced to obtain a restraining order against Greene.
In 2001, Ford Greene informed a Superior Court that he has an “inability to act with competence” due to a “head injury.” Regardless – or perhaps because of – his continuing mental problems, Ford Greene continues to foment hatred against religions.

No matter how viciously you attack all your tens of thousands of "Enemies", you will never erase the Truth.

There are no Releases. There are no Clears. There are no OTs. The Church of Scientology is a failure in every way. It has failed, completely, to produce any of its promised results. It has failed, completely, in suppressing the Truth. It has failed, completely, in suppressing free speech.

And your "Enemies" have won. The Church of Scientology is now KNOWN for the lying, abusing, fraudulent, criminal organization it is. Your "beloved" leader, David Miscavige, is known to be the insane, sociopathic failure that he is.
