I love this one. In the comments there is a lively debate about my favorite arguments about protesting the Co$.
1. All religions are weird, so why protest Co$ because they are weirder? 2. All religions persecute or have persecuted non-believers, so why single out Co$. 3. All religions have done bad things like murder, espionage, blackmail, slavery, brainwashing...hey Co$ is just doing what everyone else does! So why pick on Co$ when everybody does these things? Why not pick on the big guys like Christianity and Islam or take your pick? Just leave poor little Co$ alone, you meanies. Right? Wrong. Co$ is actively targeting the vulnerable in society for the purpose of profit. They would like to indoctrinate my children and my young college student relatives and this is unacceptable. I've got a stake in this fight to expose the truth of the organization known as the "Church" of Scientology. www.xenu.net www.whyaretheydead.net www.exscientologykids.com |

The bitter irony's that the cult calls us 'anti-religion extremists,' but those people antagonize us more than anyone else. I get so tired of hearing about the pedo priests scandal and the middle ages.

yeah agree especially since all other religions are engrams of brainwashed thetans that live on us. This bullshit about scientologists can be Catholic muslim etc really is just a ploy to have people in other faiths see scientology as compatible with their own beliefs. The scientology dogma is that one finds ones own truth. That everyone arrives at the space opera conclusion is beyond a joke.
But for a faith that includes brainwashing in its creation myth scientologists should recognise that the brainwashing wasn't perpetrated millions of years ago by Xenu but is happening right now by them and to them. Another thing I take exception with is that critics claim they are not critical of the beliefs just the methods of indoctrination used or the leadership or fair game etc. IMHO the belief system is so badly imagined by hubbard that the only way someone would adhere to it is through using unethical possibly criminal methods and destroying the victims critical faculties. |

I have a serious problem with Ronnie's theology because it leads to the elimination of civil rights for those who are "low on the tone scale", up to and including being "disposed of quietly and without sorrow".
If that kind of world is your goal, you can believe it all you want, but you better not be acting on it! |

1 In a limited way though it is acted upon - SP's are considered low on the tone scale so they can be lied to and about deprived of property and effectively destroyed completely. "Fairgame" is in a limited way of the same philosophy as "disposing without sorrow." The Nazis had their cristalnacht (probably spelt wrong) and Ron's thugs have their fairgame. Both merely initial indications of an ultimate goal. |
