The article is speaking of one group among the UK's only 25,000 Quakers.
Some Quakers no longer accept being called Christian. Certianly this groups acts are un-Christian and contrary to the Bible. |

Much as I dislike the fundamentalist "we own the Bible" attitudes, it's not Quakerly to insult one's opponent. It is Quakerly to listen to that of God in that person, even if they can't find it in you.
Personally, I'm delighted that my LBGT friends (and Friends) can now get married in Meeting for Worship. At least in Britain Yearly Meeting. |
