“Allah is a very beautiful word for God. Shouldn't we all say that from now on we will name God Allah? [...] What does God care what we call him?”

Gee whiz, Mary is chosen out of the blue, no prep at all, random, while she says "oh hell, what now?"

Has it NEVER occurred to you that Mary was deeply in love with YOUR "G-d?'"

I withdraw the question.

VIRGIN BIRTH is a scriptural myth that pre-dates Christianity. Many ancient cultures attribute virgin birth to their national heroes or to their religious prophets.

VIRGIN BIRTH - A COMMON ANCIENT MYTH

1) Mary could have been possessed by the power of the typal being calling itself god in the NT.

2) Virgin birth that is common to many ancient cultures is a myth.

3) Ancient cultures try to romanticize their religious beliefs by attributing a so-called purity to their venerated religious personalities and one common way of doing this is to claim that the person was born to a virgin on some god's command. There are many such stories found in various ancient religious books.

4) Now, as said earlier, a woman can get possessed by the power of any typal being and as such the possessing being can infuse a woman's ovum and guide the fertilization process between sperm and ovum and imbue the formed zygote with its powers. This is usually what happens. The offspring is in this sense a product of a supra-physical typal being and exhibits supernatural powers from a very young age.

5) Many skilled sorcerers are adept in invoking a host of supra-physical beings usually of the adverse kind that they guide into some person or the other including into a chosen woman during satanic rituals so that her ovum and later the zygote gets infused with the power of the invoked supra-physical being.

<quoted text>You are entitled to your beliefs, but it would be nice if you could offer a passage in support thereof. Luke 1 doesn't support consent.
Verse 38.- Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.

"God's message," writes Godet, "by the mouth of the angel was not a command. The part Mary had to fulfill made no demands on her. It only remained, therefore, for Mary to consent to the consequences of the Divine offer. She gives this consent in a word at once simple and sublime, which involved the most extraordinary act of faith that a woman ever consented to accomplish.

Mary accepts the sacrifice of that which is dearer to a young maiden than her very life, and thereby becomes pre-eminently the heroine of Israel, the ideal daughter of Zion." Nor was the immediate trouble and sorrow which she foresaw would soon compass her round by any means the whole burden which submission to the angel's message would bring upon the shrinking Nazareth maiden.

The lot proposed to her would bring probably in its wake unknown sufferings as well as untold blessedness. We may with all reverence think Mary already feeling the first piercings in her heart of that sharp sword which was one day to wound so deeply the mother of sorrows; yet in spite of all this, in full view of the present woe, which submission to the Divine will would forthwith bring upon her, with an unknown future of sorrow in the background, Mary submitted herself of her own free will to what she felt was the will and wish of her God.

ANGELS

The so-called angels who appeared before Mary were most probably skilled sorcerers who were held in awe by the common people. It often happens that commoners hold sorcerers with special powers in high esteem and call them god, prophet or angel. OTOH, during a possession, the incarnating being may manifest itself to the possessed person via light and sound making the possessed person think that it is some divine being. Even the adverse beings can engineers all of these phenomena. Nothing special or unique.

Why give 100 Translation, why not Quote, what Jesus REALLY said!!

I am sorry, NONE of his actual words were saved. First SOMEONE translated it in GREEK and now you are giving 100 English Translations from Greek, or Latin or whatever...

Poor Jesus!! ONLY words of him that are saved are FEW "Bits and Pieces" that we find scattered in Gospels. All words spoken by him are LOST FOREVER!!

<quoted text>
There was no implication that it is bad to be Jewish. I and Jews themselves, find the attempt to equate Hitler to Judaism to be offensive. So it is my respect for Judaism that causes me to be offended by the statement as many Jews would, and even many non Jews would.
If I had to ask Eric or any other Jew here who he feels is more anti semetic, me or you, well, I wouldn't even have to ask. It would be a stupid question.
<quoted text>
If you insist there are anti semetic Jews, then I guess we should ask a Jew whether that is true or not, right? I'm no expert on Judaism. Never claimed to be. Never cared to be.
<quoted text>
I said, I'm not Jewish and I asked you to ask a Jew in number 4.
As far as listing all of the semetic peoples, I suppose I could just look that up, but I could care less to even bother to try. That's all your invention and introduction into the conversation, not mine. I only used the word semetic because you said this: "why are you being so antisemitic in implying that being Jewish is BAD?". I rarely bother to use the word. You introduced it out of nowhere merely because I found it objectionable to suggest that Hitler was Jewish. I certainly wasn't disappointed that such a great guy like Hitler ended up being Jewish. THEN I would be anti Jewish. But being offended at the suggestion that a monster like that was Jewish, especially considering what he did to the Jews specifically, certainly does not seem anti Jewish at all. Only the most stupid, twisted minds such as yours would ever arrive at the conclusion you arrived at. Honestly, how DO you DO it??? It amazes me. The perfect, cross eyed logic.
