Actually Obama should keep his mouth shut and so should all top members of his administration<quoted text>
President Barack Obama declared this week that there could be no shortcut to peace between Israel and the Palestinians, as he sought to head off a United Nations showdown over Palestinian statehood.
Peace will not come through statements and resolutions at the United Nations if it were that easy, it would have been accomplished by now, Obama said in a Sept. 21 speech to the U.N. General Assembly.Ultimately, it is the Israelis and the Palestinians who must live side by side.
Ultimately, it is the Israelis and the Palestinians not us who must reach agreement on the issues that divide them.
and every American President should do the same.
So, he should practice what he preached. America and the other few should stay out and let them talk to each other.
Obama has not come up with anything new and wise. I have said a dozen years ago the same and so did many on various forums.
I would go to the extent to say that Rabbi Lerner has really pressed the jugular, which even the American President could neither dream nor think of.
Leaving aside what this man has said in the past, I find his thoughts extremely noble and precious.
Israel is a bully to Palestinians, who have no military might. Why another big bully support her and why would another bully let the talks succeed?
Look at the bigotry of France. It was the first country to recognize a band of hooligans and killes as the legitimate government of Syria. Why can't it be the first to recognize the Palestinian state?
138 members accepted the move. That says a lot. That 9 opposed, shows that they do not matter. Those, who abstained, were real bigots.
I think someone should send the link to Obama.
