The truth, HughBe, is that Israel is a Drama Queen, which is appreciated and supported by a few Drama Queens like the US and others.
We appreciate the Egyptians also, a lot, a very very lot.

Egypt gets to keep the money and spend as they )) please. How do you suppose Mubarak got so filthy rich, just like Arafat?

In contrast, Israel's aid is bound to agreements where they spend over 85% purchasing U.S. goods and services. We should have this agreement with all these countries, or cut it off to those that don't have an agreement.

History of Truth, The Truth about God and Religions, By:Dr. Adel M. Elsaie, Ph.D. Part-

9.3 The End of the Universe in the Quran (Contd.)

Surah 77, Ayah 8 "Then when the stars become dim."
Surah 81, Ayah 2 "When the stars fall, losing their luster."
The above two Ayat state that all stars, including our sun, will become faint and fade away. What kind of stunning statements are those in the Quran!
As stars and planets have different structures and different birth processes, they also have different ends.
Surah 82, Ayah 2 "When the stars (planets) are scattered."
Surah 99, Ayah 1-3 "When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion, And the earth throws up her burdens (from within), And man cries (distressed):'What is the matter with her?"
The above Ayat describe the death of planets and the earth by huge earthquakes, accompanied by volcanic eruptions, throwing away enormous boulders and lava from beneath the crust of the earth. They are thrown up as if they were a burden to the earth personified. So in the great and final convulsion, the dead who had been buried and forgotten will rise and will be crying in distress about what is happening.

The end of the universe as a whole is referred to in the Quran in many verses, as follows:

Surah 21, Ayah 104 "The Day that We roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books. Even as we produced the first creation, so shall we produce a new one."

Surah 75, Ayah 9 "And the sun and moon are joined together."
In the first Ayah, Allah states that before the Day of Judgment, the heavens will be rolled up as the scrolls are rolled up...
Scientists tell us the end of the universe is going to happen after Billions of years. The cosmic model that they are using is missing a great deal of information, the least of which is the mass of the universe. This concept introduces in the human mind that the Day of Judgment is far away, and we have nothing to be concerned about .. The Creator of this whole universe said:
Surah 54, Ayah 50 "And Our Command is but a single Word, like the twinkling of an eye."
In this Ayah, Allah tells us that the execution of His Command, any Command, is like the twinkling of an eye, which is the shortest time a simple human can imagine: the closing of the eyelids and their reopening are all almost like a simultaneous act. In Allah’s Command, the word "Be" includes everything, without the intervention of, or the dependence upon any other being or thing whatsoever...
The Smoke
In the above Surah 21, Ayah 104, there is an obvious reference that Allah will end the universe as he started it. This Ayah states that Allah created all these worlds that we know a very small part of them out of nothing by His order "Be." This Ayah may also be a reference to The Big Crunch, since it presents the analogy of expanding and collapsing the universe to the opening and closing scrolls.
As mentioned before, there was smoke at the beginning of the universe, Surah 41, Ayah 11. Then the Quran states that:
Surah 44, Ayah 10 –12 "Then watch thou for the Day that the sky will bring forth a kind of smoke, plainly visible. Enveloping the people: This is a chastisement Grievous.(They will say): Our Lord! Remove the chastisement from us, for we do really believe!"

.. And God Knows the Best.

Islam: It's mostly about going to the bathroom
http://dwindlinginunbelief.blogspot.com/2012/...

You probably think that being a Muslim involves praying five times a day, eating halal food, fasting during Ramadan, and traveling to Mecca once in your lifetime. And, for many Muslims, it does. But there's a heck of lot more to it than that.

Take going to the bathroom, for instance.
Now it's true that Allah doesn't provide much bathroom guidance in the Quran, although there is this bit of helpful advice:

When ye rise up for prayer ... if ye ... cometh from the closet, or ye have had contact with women, and ye find not water, then go to clean, high ground and rub your faces and your hands with some of it. Quran 5:6

Which tells us that that kind of thing is important to Allah. He cares about your bathroom routine. And so does Muhammad (PB&J be upon him). He was absolutely obsessed with it. Here is what he had to say:

Your Apostle (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) teaches you about everything, even about excrement. So let's take a look at some of the things that Muhammad taught about excrement.

Before entering the bathroom, cover your head, put shoes on your feet, and say this little prayer: "O Allah I seek your protection from the male and female devils."

Worth reading:

International law, the Gaza war, and Palestine's state of exception
http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/opinion/2012...

Excerpt:

The fundamental purpose of IHL (Int'l Humanitarian Law) is to protect civilians and minimise avoidable harm during armed conflicts. Under IHL, five core principles govern what conduct is lawful in armed conflict. Violations of these constitute grave breaches and thus can be considered war crimes. These principles are: civilian immunity (ie, the prohibition against intentionally targeting civilians or otherwise treating them as combatants); distinction (ie, the imperative to distinguish between civilians and combatants in military operations, and for combatants to distinguish themselves as such through identifiable dress and insignia and by carrying arms openly); proportionality (ie, the requirement to use force in a manner that is proportionate to the military value of the target); necessity (ie, the obligation to restrict targets or tactics to those necessary to achieve legitimate military goals); and humane treatment (ie, the prohibition of torture, inhumane and degrading treatment of prisoners, and the imperative to guard the rights and interests of "protected persons", the legal term for civilians in occupied territories).
...
Hamas and other Palestinian groups' attacks on Israel, from suicide bombings of the 1990s and early 2000s to today's rocket fire, have routinely failed to comport with these principles. Can any different be said about Israel's conduct in Gaza?

Israel has not only refused to respect the principles of civilian immunity and distinction but has openly disregarded both as a matter of policy. At the start of Operation Pillar of Defence, officials declared their intention to target any variety of sites including the homes of Hamas activists. In Gaza, one of the more densely populated areas in the world, most homes - including those where people Israel deems legitimate targets reside - are shared by non-combatants and civilians.

Surprise! Surprise!

Day after president brokered Gaza truce, Egypt’s Brotherhood leader slams peace with Israel
http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/middle_ea...

CAIRO — The leader and top cleric of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood has denounced peace efforts with Israel, urging holy war to liberate Palestinian territories.

Mohammed Badei’s call Thursday comes just a day after Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, who also hails from the Brotherhood, succeeded in brokering a truce to end eight days of Israel-Hamas fighting.

Under the deal, Gaza’s ruling Hamas is to stop rocket fire into Israel while Israel is to cease airstrikes and allow the opening of the strip’s long-blockaded borders.

Badei says “jihad is obligatory” for Muslims and that peace deals with Israel are a “game of grand deception.” He says there’s been enough negotiations, the “enemy knows nothing but language of force.”

The Brotherhood and its members don’t recognize Israel and refuse to hold direct talks with Israelis.
__________
It's always the clerics!

But will Badei issue a death fatwa against Morsi for the crime of apostasy?

Paris Hilton Shilling Handbags in Muslim Holy Site’s Shadow
http://gawker.com/5961885/paris-hilton-shilli...

Paris Hilton is currently facing some major backlash in Saudi Arabia. Hilton — the less-famous niece of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Kim and Kyle Richards — has just opened a store to sell her "handbags and accessories" at the Mecca Mall.

Hilton announced the opening of the store on her blog last week. Since then, many have fired back on Twitter, angry that Hilton would be allowed to open shop in Muhammad's birthplace and the holy mall which houses only holy institutions such as KFC and Hardee's. The angry tweets mostly focus on her porn star past, according the New York Daily News saying things like:

"Saudi claim there are other ways to allow for pilgrims, & if religiosity is of such importance, why is @ParisHilton being allowed a store in Mecca?"

"How can someone who made such a video open a store in the holy city next to the Grand Mosque? It is not acceptable to have such a woman open her store here."

Hilton herself has not responded to the criticism, but has said this:

Interesting that Aljazeera has become more fair and balanced in the last five years. I guess they discovered that their rabid support of Hamas has been shown to be unsupported by fact. They're starting to sound more and more like NPR - at least it's a move in the right direction.

Gazans have been broadcasting that Israeli cities are in shambles and the Israeli have been conquered. It sounds like the propaganda during the 6 Day Way. Now they're celebrating by shooting in the air - a bullet got at least one of their own on the return trip. Someone needs to explain gravity.

In the meantime, IDF drops leaflets (as they did in Cast Lead)
"The first leaflet:

To the residents of Sheikh Ajlin, Tel Al-Hwa, Rimal South, Zeitoun, Sjaiya, Turkeman and Sajiya Jadida: For your safety, you are required to evacuate your residences immediately and move towards the central Gaza city, via Al-Khara, Jma’at Al Dul Al Arabia, Al Aqsa Al Qudsiya, Um Alaimoun, Salah A-din, Al-Maqsurra, Hal’s Mjdad. In the central Gaza city, you are required to stay between the areas of Salah A-din from the west, Amar Al-Muchtar from the north, Al-Nasser from the east and Al-Quds St. from the south.

Israel Defense Forces.

The second leaflet:

To the residents of of the outskirts of Shati, Al-Atatra, Beit Lahiya and Beit Hanoun: for your safety, you are required to evacuate your residences immediately and move towards central Gaza city via Al-Falujah, Al-Udda and Salah A-din. In the central Gaza city, you are required to stay between the roads of Salah A-din from the west, Amar Al-Muchtar from the north, Al-Nasser from the east and Al-Quds St. from the south.

Israel Defense Forces."

Unfortunately, the terrorists can also read. They holed up until the cease fire began. Then they came out and fired off a couple of rockets sans warning leaflets.

The IDF drops the leaflets for the sake of the freaking lawyers, but the leaflets also serve as recruitment tools for CIVILIAN NON-COMBATANT human shield volunteers, the very folks who prize dying "in the cause of Allah" above all other considerations.

What about children who are deliberately placed in harm's way? Well, they'll appreciate the sacrifices of their lives "for the cause of Allah and His Messenger" later, in Islamic heaven.

Now that both berserk parties have stopped fighting, relax. We will discuss when both loonies start again.

Somebody should tell Hamas that if fighting flares up again in future between the two monsters, it should first a sack or a drum of leaflets, telling Israelis to move North.
