Why Atheism Will Replace Religion

Please note that for this article "Atheism" also includes agnostics, deists, pagans, wiccans... in other words non-religious.

You will notice this is a statement of fact. And to be fact it is supported by evidence (see references below). Now you can have "faith" that this is not true, but by the very definition of faith, that is just wishful thinking.

Peddling more ignorant atheist lies, bubba?

Born Believers: The Science of Children’s Religious Belief

http://academia.edu/171728/The_Science_of_Rel...

One day, Anna, the 5-year-old daughter of two “proudly secular, well-educated urban Danes,” asked her mother if God had created the world. Frederick, her father, carefully explained,“The world wasn’t created. It has always been here.” Anna didn’t buy it, so he went a little more in-depth:“Well, a long, long time ago there was this big bang and suddenly everything just appeared.” The girl thought about this, trying to wrap her mind around a concept we all have trouble with.

“God must have been surprised,” she said.

It’s an unforgettable anecdote and a perfect encapsulation of Justin Barrett’s argument in his new book, Born Believers: The Science of Children’s Religious Belief. Kids aren’t blank slates upon which we inscribe our religious or irreligious convictions. Rather, they arrive in the world with a strong, cognitively driven propensity for religious belief “preinstalled”—and, as in Anna’s case, it can be difficult to shake....

Jesus taught that we must be as little children to enter into the Kingdom, that only the pure of heart wii see God. His teachings explain why cynical, perverted sociopathic atheists can't and will never see God or ever enter the Kingdom of God.

Like you sick fcked up atheist Jew liars-for-hire give a shit about any little girls anywhere other than to exploit them for your own personal sexual gratification and bash Muslims for Israel. The only reason you and your atheist buddies fabricate your filthy fantasies about little girl's "pissflaps", bondage and sexual torture here on Topix is so you can drool over them while you jerk off at your computer. Do hang around childrens playgrounds and sniff little girl's bicycle seats too? When the Feds come knocking on your door, do the world a favor and resist arrest, bubba....

Interesting article. Humans certainly possess a propensity for religiosity. I hope you understand that this propensity is not a validation of the concept. "Both evolutionary logic and experimental evidence point to the device as being hypersensitive; that is, it routinely detects agency given thin or ambiguous evidence (Guthrie, 1993; Rochat et al., 1997)". As we become more educated and experienced adults you would expect us to rely more on cognition than the intuitive 'device' that the article defines.

There is some evidence that stimulating certain parts of the brain can invoke a 'divine' or religious type experience. Given these tendencies in young children and our possession of this faculty in our own brains suggests there is, or I should say was, an evolutionary survival benefit to 'the religious experience'. Fortunately, unfettered minds recognize that this propensity has long since lost it's usefulness. It's time to move on. We no longer need to rely on these religious 'instincts' and flaky brain chemistry to determine how we view the Universe and our fellow man.

That being said, the 5 year old did not INVENT her God concept, her parents may not have brought it up, but thanks to hyper-zealous godbots, such as yourself, there are many other pathways into children's heads that you do not hesitate to exploit.

I note with growing disdain that you seem unable to simply state: "The practice of Female Genital Mutilation is despicable and should be stopped". Why? Is it an inherent part of your parent culture? The practice is certainly a step in teaching them pesky females who's boss. The subjugation and victimization of women is a feature that resonates across multiple religions, regions and cultures. We Atheists and Free Thinkers, that is, those of us who are actively participating in the next step up in Human Societal Evolution, say it should be stopped. What say you godbot?

Phobic or phobia implies an irrational fear response. There is nothing vaguely irrational about 'fearing' a religion whose members would consider slitting your throat in your sleep a cause célèbre. Get real, Bubba. You seriously don't know who the bad guys are here.

I also find it disturbing that other godbots rise to its defense.(I was going to say 'his' but that is elevating it to level of human)

Drunk drivers in Texas kill more people in one year than any religious zealots, except atheist Jew zionazis, have killed in the last 50 years. So, yeah, your Islamophobia is totally bigoted and completely irrational, bubba.
