Why Atheism Will Replace Religion

There are 14730 comments on the News24 story from Aug 27, 2012, titled Why Atheism Will Replace Religion. In it, News24 reports that:

Please note that for this article "Atheism" also includes agnostics, deists, pagans, wiccans... in other words non-religious.

You will notice this is a statement of fact. And to be fact it is supported by evidence (see references below). Now you can have "faith" that this is not true, but by the very definition of faith, that is just wishful thinking.

She also dreams about genocide as she has admitted.

01. You are partially correct! If Godbots heeded my father's advice, there would not have been a 9/11. Without 9/11 there would have been no Afghanistan war. If there had been no invasion of Kuwait by your buddy, Sadam, there would have been no Iraq war. No 9/11 and we wouldn't have had to 'finish' the war Sadam started.

02. Science more than makes up for the 'vacuum' created by expelling religion.

03. When "great scholars" can't explain something to you, the problem is not with the scholars.

04. Wow. Explain the Universe in a Topix post. That's quite an assignment. How about ... God pulled the Universe out of his hat! Wait. That sounds like a religious explanation. Magic even.

Only Godbots have the unmitigated audacity to claim complete knowledge, summed up in one word ... Godidit. Have fun with that.

There is no single 'fact', palpable or otherwise, that can deny magic. People examined magic and found it lacking ... thus scientific inquiry was born.
Ans.

01. If you want to connect the dots, why not start at the "root" of current problems? Had there been no Isreal….most of problems would have vanished? So why not start by removing the root cause.

02. Science does not fill up vacuum for the soul. It only deals with "material world" and there are issues which are not material.

Can science tell us "which poetry" is better than the other?

Can science tell you "Which Music" is better than other?

03. You are right, God "pulled out the Universe from Hat" That is what Big Bang theory tells us, does it not?

The time is a factor for us, because we have a limited life span, for God who has eternal life, millions and billions of years do not mean any thing.

04. Many things in Universe would seem to be magic, but reality is that they are not magic, they are all linked with another and the trail leads to the Only Unique Creator of the world.

God did it, is still the best answer to explain about billions of thing we have no info and try to find truth in the total darkness.

Yes, it can take measurements on satisfaction from dopamine release in the brain from reading poetry.

In the same way, yes, It can tell you what the most popular is and it does already.
Shows how ignorant most theists are when it comes to science. If only they studied a little more before becoming door to door myth sellers.

Why will you not denounce your religion's abuse, rape and murder of little girls?

Why can't Islamic leaders simply ask their followers to live in peace with Israel?

My Dad used to tell me 'believe half of what you read and none of what you hear'... or something to that effect. Maybe he was misquoting old Ben Franklin who said "Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see". Sound advice in any case.

I used to be amazed, traveling in your region, about how much you guys hated, feared and ... respected ... Israel. It's funny in a way, except for a few minor details y'all are virtually indistinguishable. What's really amazing is how stupid humans can be.

Here's a question for ya. If Allah is so powerful and the US and Israel so despicable and you Muslims such good worshipers ... why don't your buddy Allah just erase it all for you? He could do it standing on his head! It'd be easy, like clearing his throat. If he's so powerful and wonderful ... why does he have to have his 'chosen ones' down here splattering their blood and guts all over the landscape? Doesn't it make you wonder, not even a little bit, if perhaps this 'worshiping Allah' strategy might be a little flawed?? Like maybe it's time to stand up and say "Look Fellas, all this Allah worship has done is put calluses on my knees and forehead! Let's try something else!"

Like I said ... it's amazing how stupid humans can be.

I get to decide which music and poetry I like. It's called freedom. If science or religion or your Grand Poobah is telling you what is 'better'... that's called tyranny.

Yeah. We have limited life spans. Sucks. Doesn't seem fair. That's why we invent lavish mythologies to grant ourselves that which Nature denies.

Like I said ...

Thank you for sharing that. I think in the end we will all try to cling to whatever brings us comfort. I say if it makes someone feel better then more power to that person. If your dad was comforted then that is all that matters.
I'd say you hit the nail on the head. Comfort. Religion brings a great many people "comfort" so humanity is going to keep dragging it around, like a soiled and tattered Security Blanket.

My Mom passed away in December ... often crying out for release to the God she devoted herself to all her life. She was in a great deal of pain from a fall and back injury. She thought the meds that might have helped was us (me, my brother and sister, nurses and various care-givers) trying to poison her. She put her trust in God. He finally did release her, after about 6 months. A pittance compared to the prolonged agonies many (in God's mercy) must suffer.

Maybe we shouldn't be pointing out to people that their 'mighty shield' is really a tattered rag that should be disposed of.

Nah ...

All of the recent (and past) killers are atheists. Let's continue to focus on that.
Colorado shooters (both theater shooter and Columbine shootings), Newtown killer, Dahmer,....gosh , there are so many atheist mass murderers on the news lately I can't keep up.
Atheists usually start off holding up banners of protest then eventually end up holding assault rifles and pistols , shooting up everyone in a public venue, killing while insane.
It's a repeating pattern I'm getting tired of seeing.
We have the disgusting atheist Madelyn O'Hair for starting this pandemic.
Really! They were all atheists? They were all humans. They were all Americans. They all had hair. They all were wearing shoes. What other invalid associations do you care to make? Please tell me where you go to find the religious preferences of the various celebrities. Yeah ... mass murderers are celebrities of sorts and chasing their 15 minutes of fame, just like some of your high profile bible thumpers. Some of them, anyways. I lack your ability to draw inferences, something you have developed into some kind of super-power! You're like a 'Superman' of bad logic!! Be careful!!! Knowledge and information is your Kryptonite and it's literally everywhere.

You say that God is mythical?
Then how can he be a mass murderer or evil?
How can you say he murdered anyone and is guilty when according to you he has never existed?
Just like your 'educational' teaching style bitchurd, you just make up sh!t as you go along and expect to be rewarded for it.
You say your God is not mythical. Then how can he be anything but an evil mass murderer?

The overwhelming percentage of murderers in prison are devout Christians.

Yes He does. Main question is, why did you feel the need to make your false comment?
I never have the need to make the comment that the false god Shmaltz doesn't exist.
We take 'comfort' in it. It makes us 'feel good' to know we are doing something against ignorance and superstition. If someone was preaching "Shmaltz" at you or the god "Shmaltz" was giving you lists of things you had to swallow to get to his version of heaven (or hell)... you might feel the need. Maybe if people, high on "Shmaltz", were knocking on your door or invading your forum on Topix ...
