Please note that for this article "Atheism" also includes agnostics, deists, pagans, wiccans... in other words non-religious.

You will notice this is a statement of fact. And to be fact it is supported by evidence (see references below). Now you can have "faith" that this is not true, but by the very definition of faith, that is just wishful thinking.

He never said his wife said that.

Therefore your comment was completely irrelevant.

Though I don't expect a creationist like yourself to understand basic logic.
When he makes comments about theists, his wife is included.

John 3:16

+CONFESS AND BELIEVE IN JESUS TO REPENT OF YOUR SINS
Romans 10:9-11
New King James Version (NKJV)
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says,“Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”[a]
+GRACE IS A FREE GIFT FROM GOD
Ephesians 2:8-11
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Now, you are thinking as one who uses his own mind.

Atheism is like a "clean Slate".

You wipe off what was written on it.

And you do not write any thing on it.

And you say, see we replaced all that writings with "No writing"!!

They think that they can pass thru life, with clean slates.

Little they understand that by being "empty slates" , they become a tool in the hands of "every deceiver" !!

Example: Communism, Socialism.

Of course they do. They purposely blind themselves to the truth for self comfort about their delusions.

I've seen Arcade Fire twice, does that count?

Actually wanted to come out to Montreal this year on BA miles (Avios) but couldn't make it work with my dates.

True. 2/3rds of the UK are no longer religious. Religion is now a minority sport.

My tiny todgered tribute troll has basic issues with apostrophes. When you call it on this, it pretends it is f*cking up on purpose.

It's being dumb for jesus.

That sucks...and no, sadly AF doesn't count :P

I do like "Wake Up" and "Ready to Start" though. They're pretty good.
Too bad I'm a youngin' and have only seen a few concerts.
I've been to Heart, Porcupine Tree, and (my favourite band) Foo Fighters.

If you ever do come down here, it'd be a good idea to go by the Orange Julep.
Only place in the world with this kind of juice.
Maybe wiki it if you want to know more.

I'm so thankful that here in Canada, we don't have as many super religious people as the States.
We have Jehovah's Witnesses or something in the hallway I take to get to the metro, what should I say to them if they come up to me?
I need ideas!

Just laughing was a good one, but I found that I can't force a laugh that well.

Most atheists are more aware of your mythology than you are, I would bet. We just know that it *is*, in fact, a collection of myths.

To suggest that atheists worship Satan, who they no more believe in than any other deity, is 'ignorant and established stupidity'.

Incorrect. Atheists (not all, but many) write on their slate with the most reliable information available: that directly from nature itself. By comparing what happens in reality to what people claim, we can identify the liars and deceivers. By excluding things that cannot be verified by observation, we both keep ourselves honest and learn when people are basing their lives on myths rather than reality.

I watched over my atheist farther during the last 3 years of his life and during that time span he became somewhat religious. So all I can say from witnessing this change is that when suffering and death are near you will cry out to god. Maybe not all of us but I believe most of us will. And yes he found comfort in that. Just wanted to pass this on to others. Best wishes to all.

Atheists are Skeptics on steroids. American's are raised to be a bit skeptical. My father used to always tell me, "Believe half of what you read and none of what you hear". Hardly "empty slates" ... we've replaced the vacuum of religious nonsense with palpable facts. Our cups runneth over. Try to make statements without so many "ism's" ... it reveals your upbringing, of which gullibility must have been a big part. "Do what they tell you, Son", your Father must have said, "Particularly the guys with flowing robes and quoting holy scriptures!!".

Thats what you atheists are you have no standard of morals, principles or the concept of right and wrong.
You will go with whatever marxist dialectic dribble 'progressive' politicians spew because...lets face it you are all for plutocratic 'socialism'.
You paint with far too broad a brush there, Siro. Life isn't that simple. You can't wrap up our Universe, our world or even a single grain of sand in one book ... I don't care how thin they make the pages. What's wrong with 'do unto others ...' as a moral compass? How about 'don't shite in your own nest'... how much more do you people have to flail on the poor, bankrupt, dead horse of religion? Even saying "God is Dead" lends him more life than he ever had. You need to get a grip and quit calling people names!

I got JWed the other week. Extremely pleasant young lady from Africa, plus a really hard faced older English lady.

I asked them if they knew what the Mandelbrot set was. When they said "no", I showed them an Google image search of "mandlebrot set" and explained how simple the mathematics was that generated all that complexity.

Things went OK until I asked why the 10 commandments were in the order they are. Surely it makes god seem insecure? Why does an all powerful god need protecting. The older lady closed down her shutters then, the atmosphere really changed. Their loss.
