Why Atheism Will Replace Religion

There are 14730 comments on the News24 story from Aug 27, 2012, titled Why Atheism Will Replace Religion. In it, News24 reports that:

Please note that for this article "Atheism" also includes agnostics, deists, pagans, wiccans... in other words non-religious.

You will notice this is a statement of fact. And to be fact it is supported by evidence (see references below). Now you can have "faith" that this is not true, but by the very definition of faith, that is just wishful thinking.

No, your barbaric religion is ultimately doomed.
Those who think this world is plaything and there is no God and there is no higher purpose of life other than like an animal....they are already doomed, no question about it.
Is there a fourth category?
In the Hereafter....there will be only TWO categories, those who go to paradise and those who go to hell fire. There will be no Third Category.
Allah Knows Best.
The only hell that exists is in the minds of fools who believe in hell.

01. If atheists have no belief in any God or any Divine Guidance, what is the basis of their "morality"?
Their Morality is as shifty as their own beliefs. On day they might consider one act as "Moral" and next they might declare it "Non Moral" and Vice Versa.
Look at the case with Sodomy and Lesbianism?
Atheists of 100 years back termed them as "Immoral" but the same has become "Moral" for our present day Atheists.
I want to ask you, from a purely Atheist point of view, why should you not rob?
Different atheists have different standards of morality. Humanists like me believe that certain moral principles like not killing, not stealing are basic common sense rules that are necessary for the survival of society. whereas your Muslim morals are purely subjective and ridiculous.

And no, the actual studies on the suicide rates between believers and non believers are conflicting and contradicting. Fact.

If atheism were a significant risk factor for suicide, I suspect that the CDC would list it as such on this page:

http://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/suicide...

or at least list religious faith as a protective factor.

Who's the one trying to say Jesus was born on December 25th when there is no evidence towards that in the slightest?
Who's the one claiming Jesus was born on the 25th of December when all that day was was a pagan holiday and had nothing to do with religion until Christians came along and adopted the date just to make it easier to convert?

Not a bad move, great selling point. It wouldn't be the first time one culture and/or religion co opted something from another culture and/or religion.

So we are to either accept the passages in the Quran with characters and events stolen from the Jews and Christians and lead by a child raping prophet or burn in hell?

Let's say you come from a first world country. People use toilet paper not their bare hands to wipe with, women are given equal rights, we don't blow ourselves up to kill non believers and children can go to school without having groups of prophets storming their bus and shooting them.

Now being from a country like this couldn't you see why following an animal like Muhammad be difficult?

Most of the Animal Kingdom only kills for food nor will they fight to the death. Are they therefore more moral than us? There are certain basic, universal 'morals' that are so basic and so universal they are almost instinctual. "Don't foul your own nest", "don't kill members of your own species" and "protect the young" are examples. We can largely thank religion for helping us overcome these natural incentives. In fact, it's safe to say that religion's impact on Humanity has been largely Amoral, violent and divisive.

What Atheists, Free Thinkers and Humanists are struggling towards is a way of life, a way of thinking ... where we do not judge or expect people to be reflections of ourselves. It is a monumental struggle as feelings of self, us, them, family, stranger, normal, odd ... are as fundamental and instinctual as the "foul'n your own nest" thing. It's the struggle of the mind and intellect rising above the vagaries of hormone induced and regulated emotional behavior. It's the struggle to get up there and use our reason, our tiny rational bits and taking a good, long look at what's right and what's real and making decisions based on that clarity.

You really got to chuck off religion, superstition, ignorance and your preconceptions to get there and it ain't easy. It doesn't really make you feel good, not like simply going with the flow, getting in step, marching to the same tune. Many believe, like I do, that it is a worthy goal, a necessary 'next step' for Humans to continue to progress. We desperately need a new destiny, designed by Man and attainable by all of us. You people, you Religionists (Muslim, Christian, Jew ... the distinctions are too minor to quibble about) have NO BASIS to take the 'moral high ground' over anybody. Get a life, get real, take off your BLINDERS. Join us here in the 21st Century.

Yes. Of course, you are aware that those dolls are actually tiny likenesses of beings who inhabit the dark, damp regions under bridges? They only show themselves when someone tries to cross "their" bridge and demand a payment of some kind. I'm sure you've heard of Troll Bridges, even in Neverland.
