I don't altogether like the way certain members or organizations (religious or otherwise) in society treat me all the time either. But you don't see me crying like a little bitch about it. I grab my nuts (trust me I've got em), remind myself I'm a grown adult, and simply go on about my business. It's not religion's fault that you have a problem with it. That's all you. Perhaps you should turn those analytical brains of yours back upon yourselves in attempt to figure out what you believe as a human being. If not God then what? Perhaps you should find your passion and follow it. Instead of thoughtlessly lashing out at others for following theirs.

Be sure to inhale deeply so as to get the full benefit of one of mother natures many pleasures. Maybe this way you'll finally lighten the fuck up and stop bringing the rest of us down with your never ending quest for "enlightenment." There's no such thing as god until you are able to prove it. You've had since the beginning of time itself to do it but are unable to do so, yet you arrogantly assume that god is real and blame atheists for your frustration at this reality. You've been shown over and over time and time again in this thread and you attempt to summarise it has failed. Go away and leave this thread and ask the people that brainwashed you for the proof of god instead of lying about it, conveting nobody to your hallucination / mental illness.

Long story short your delusion is built upon this collection of ancient sheep fckers campfire stories? 01Justsayin wrote: <quoted text> I can't answer your question from a scientific perspective as science cannot prove or disprove the existence of God. Nor can I speak for God. I can only speak, then, from a Christian perspective. According to what the Bible teaches us as Christians, God gives man free will. As much as the Lord desires our welfare, there is one thing he desires even more: our freedom. He allows us to choose between evil and good, and when we choose evil, it has its consequences. But neither the evil nor its consequences are His will. "I have set before you life and death, a blessing and a cursing: Therefore choose life!'(Deuteronomy 30:19) Taking away our free choice and its consequences would remove any sense of self-determination and any freely given love or freely received joy. Evil results from mankind using that precious gift of freedom to go against God's will. That is, at least, according to the Bible.

Sheesh you can't even copy and paste right. And what you did sht on your dinner plate there doesn't change the fact that Nazareth didn't even exist at the time Jesus was said to live. It's just a fact, accept it your book of myths lied to you. 01Justsayin wrote: <quoted text> From Wikipedia: Nazareth (pron.:/ˈnæzərəθ/; Hebrew:נָצְ Natzrat or Natzeret; Arabic:اَلن an-Nāṣira or an-Naseriyye) is the largest city in the North District of Israel. Nazareth is known as "the Arab capital of Israel"; the population is made up predominantly of Arab citizens of Israel, almost all of whom are either Muslim (69%) or Christian (30.9%).[2][3][4][5] In the New Testament, the city is described as the childhood home of Jesus, and as such is a center of Christian pilgrimage, with many shrines commemorating biblical events.

01Justsayin wrote: <quoted text> LMFAO! Seriously?! The fact that a person chooses to believe in the existence of God bothers you THIS much? Some things simply defy logic. You can't look at matters of the heart or people's various beliefs or feelings so analytically. Not everything is logical. Love for instance is illogical. You do believe in love right? "Love" aka long-term-pair-bonding is beneficial in the formation of cohesive parental/familial units. It is within such units that the nurturing of nascent large-brained hominids so completely depend. Humans are quite helpless for years after birth. Hell, I've seen teenagers that can't operate a can opener. Takes a lot of "love" to make functional human beings. Love is no gift ... it's a necessary component of what we are. Evolution and Momma Nature provides as much (or as little) "love" as required to get the job done.

01Justsayin wrote: <quoted text> Or blame God when things go wrong? As a believer in a higher power, we choose to believe that God is watching over us. That he ordains the footsteps of the righteous, and that he sends his angels to watch over us. We trust him to lead and guide us through our every day lives. Thanking him is simply a form of worship. Certainly, our big-brains and super-intelligence helps us weave a path through the slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune. What differentiates our own "internal dialog" from the murmured tips of a Guardian Angel or the small, still voice of a whispering deity? I'd say it's the difference between being sane and ... somewhat less so. In any case ... big brains, high intelligence, long nurturing period, love, self-made "luck" ... living long enough and successfully enough to gift the species with your own (supposedly) viable genetic package ... you got no one to thank for that. Nature and evolution demonstrate their fallibility with us humans. We are so good at what we do ... we're suffocating the planet. Gee ... thanks.

What does bother me, however, is the level of aggression with which you prove your point. There's absolutely NO need for that. You don't want to hear about the archeological or historical discoveries that verify what is written within the Bible. And I refuse to debate theology with someone who doesn't believe in it to begin with. I just won't insult my beliefs like that. So think what you want. It's not my job to convince you one way or the other. Church funded "expeditions" to Mt. Ararat that come back with blurry images and flakes of wood do not constitute "archeological or historical discoveries". There is a huge gap between what Atheists and Religious Folk consider Evidence that can probably never be bridged.

Langoliers wrote: <quoted text> Posted earlier by Derek4 Is that the question you kept referring to? No wonder I couldn't remember, it's the same old question that atheists ask all the time nothing sets it apart from the run-of-the-mill atheist questions we hear every day asking for proof of God. So why do you bother to ask it? It's already been answered for you time and again in many different ways by Christians. If you choose not to accept the answers you've already been given over and over and over and over and over, then why do you need more answers? Are you just plain dense?[YES] God is the Creator of heaven and earth and everything else. The Bible was not written by someone(s) imagination. It has many authors, spanning centuries. None of it has ever been proven untrue. BS. The buy-bull has night and day existing, and plants growing before there is a sun. That's untrue. The buy-bull indicates the earth is flat. Again, untrue. Langoliers wrote: People try all the time, and fail, because there are valid explanations for anything that on the surface appears to be a discrepancy. One part of it refers to another, confirms another, and all can be reconciled. Why would so many authors from so many centuries create an imaginary story? LOL! You can't be serious. Langoliers wrote: How could they confer with one another to do so when their lives did not overlap? Why would they endure persecution and die for an imaginary belief? What was to be gained? You can't be serious. Guess Allah must be the real god, because people put on bomb jackets and blow themselves and others up in his name all the time. Langoliers wrote: Science is your god. It has failed you so many times. Why should anyone accept science and it's fraud? Is there a law against fundies learning the difference between "its" and "it's"? Anyway, science is not my god. Science is a filed of study created by humans. Langoliers wrote: Why should anyone believe Darwin, a sick bodied, sick minded man who conspired with fraudulent scientists to produce this theory back in the 1850's? What peer review groups checked out his work? How credible were the peer review groups? What of the unanswered or badly answered questions evolution has never resolved that have been posted here? You put your faith in all that? You truly live in a faith filled imaginary world full of potholes, fake evidence, and lies. What about all the people like you who believed what Lamarck told them? They believed he was right, just as you believe Darwin was right. Lamarck was wrong. His followers were wrong. Darwin was wrong, and you are wrong. http://www.arn.org/docs/dardoc1.htm LOL. The whole logic thing is beyond fundies. If you could think rationally and logically, you wouldn't be fundies. And you didn't provide any evidence at all for god! Even if Lamarck and Darwin were wrong, that's not evidence for god. Still, no evidence for god!

You know "prayer". BTW, I don't believe in either the Hollywood, the Vodun or even the buybull version of the risen from dead zombie "Jewsus". No evidence, as I said many times before, lack of evidence. If it were real there would be evidence. You say you have that evidence, but don't have time to post it all, so try for just one bit of proof. Just one thing that proves without doubt a god exists, any god will do. You see proving a god would not eliminate we atheist, we still would be without theism, even if we did believe that a god existed. If the god that was proven to exist was the bible god, our own sense of right and wrong would not let us kneel to that filthy monster. I think most of us would be willing to go all out to bring it to trial for it's crimes against humanity. I know I would, if it existed. I think Richard Dawkins said it perfectly: "The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully."
