Why Atheism Will Replace Religion

Aug 27, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: News24

Please note that for this article "Atheism" also includes agnostics, deists, pagans, wiccans... in other words non-religious.

You will notice this is a statement of fact. And to be fact it is supported by evidence (see references below). Now you can have "faith" that this is not true, but by the very definition of faith, that is just wishful thinking.

<quoted text>Technically, an "explosion" is a rapid combustion of a fuel.

In that light, the "Big Bang" was clearly not an explosion.

The "Big Bang" was an extremely rapid expansion of the universe's 3 dimensions (maybe even 4 dimensions). The terms "Big Bang" and "explosion" are used as a conceptual "simile" or "metaphor".

But why bother explaining that to you, obviously you are far too simple to comprehend.
I just listed a few science articles claiming it was the biggest bang of all.

There are hundreds of them on the web.

However I'm aware of the non explosion rapid expansion model also.

There are also many other Theory's on the beginning of the universe.

I'm glad you have no problem believing something was always and will be always.
Your believes are not that different then mine in this respect.
As far as what God is made out of I don't know. Maybe pure energy!
Then again! If energy comprises the entire universe and everything in it and it has always existed, no creator is required.

Lol! Just because you say you're 50 doesn't mean you are. It has nothing to do with math, it has a lot to do with you and your lies. Notre Dame was amazing and because of that university I am living a very comfortable living with my businesses. Ashamed of the universities? Who cares what you think? What have you done to help others? What have you done to become a good person? I am probably paying taxes for your Medicare. You're welcome! Now go back and put on your hug me jacket.
I see you are very familiar with making up things as you go along, much like......theists.

Not always. I would consider a supernova to be an explosion, but it has no combustion. For that matter, if you puncture a tank of compressed gas, you will get an explosion with no combustion also.

And what does that *actual* Big Bang theory say? You know, the one used by cosmologists when they are studying the universe? Does *that* model have an expansion of space (not an explosion) or material moving in space away from a center (explosion)? Hint: the *actual* Big Bang theory is based on general relativity.

Hmmm perhaps I was thinking of the term "detonation".

But "explosion" still does not technically apply because an explosion is a rapid expansion INTO 3D space. The big bang was rapid expansion OF 3D space.

I wasn't disagreeing with that aspect, just the claim of combustion being needed for an explosion. Yes, detonation would be different in that.

Perhaps you prefer an article from NASA:
http://map.gsfc.nasa.gov/universe/bb_concepts...

"Please keep in mind the following important points to avoid misconceptions about the Big Bang and expansion:

The Big Bang did not occur at a single point in space as an "explosion." It is better thought of as the simultaneous appearance of space everywhere in the universe. That region of space that is within our present horizon was indeed no bigger than a point in the past. Nevertheless, if all of space both inside and outside our horizon is infinite now, it was born infinite. If it is closed and finite, then it was born with zero volume and grew from that. In neither case is there a "center of expansion" - a point from which the universe is expanding away from. In the ball analogy, the radius of the ball grows as the universe expands, but all points on the surface of the ball (the universe) recede from each other in an identical fashion. The interior of the ball should not be regarded as part of the universe in this analogy.

By definition, the universe encompasses all of space and time as we know it, so it is beyond the realm of the Big Bang model to postulate what the universe is expanding into. In either the open or closed universe, the only "edge" to space-time occurs at the Big Bang (and perhaps its counterpart the Big Crunch), so it is not logically necessary (or sensible) to consider this question.

It is beyond the realm of the Big Bang Model to say what gave rise to the Big Bang. There are a number of speculative theories about this topic, but none of them make realistically testable predictions as of yet."
