The virgin birth is an immovable article of the Creedo of the Christian Faith.. It is part of the definition of what it is to be christian.

Of course the myth of immaculate conception is a metaphore, and a ripped off one at that. Hindu was the first religion on record that features this idea, and even they refer to it as a myth. Again it bogles my mind how otherwise perfectly inteligent, rational people can belive the reports of persons 2000 years ago that a woman got pregnant without having sex. I meen, COME ON! The people from 2000 years ago are the same people that thought sniffing human waste would prevent disease. How reliable can any account be from that time period?

The beloved Isis begot Horus the crowned an conquering child it is said by putting Osiris back together and therefore receiving her child by the means of her dead husband. It is possible folks, and there has been recorded virgin births. Just because the Hymen is still there dosnt mean you cannot concieve. There are a few who have just by "pretending"

There is a record of a teen getting pregnant from a hot tub. Is that a Miracle or just nasty water?

My understanding is that in the time when Mary supposedly became pregnant the word "vigin" had a rather different meaning than it does in common usage. Back then the term "virgin" merely meant a woman who had not yet born a child. So if Jesus were the first born of Mary, then she would obviously have been a "virgin".
