Not only does kudos go out to the small group of Wiccans in Lenior, but good on the library that is holding the space for it. I hope that continues to be true, too often a major supporter may 'suggest' their opposition to such thing and then the public space 'never gets' your reqeust, or 'looses' your deposit check...

From the article:

"Some within the faith have claimed it’s the fastest-growing religion in the United States, but there’s no solid evidence to back that up. The Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life, which collects data on the religious makeup of the United States, includes Wicca within the “other world religions” category, which constitutes less than .3 percent of the nation’s faithful. Reliable estimates of the specific number of Wiccans in the U.S. aren’t available, according to the Pew Research Center."

This could very well be on account of a lot of fear among the various Pagan groups, who even in the early 21st century, could suffer repercussions from members of the Bible Belt.

Thank you for the encouraging comments. I have received some flack over this article but so far nothing I can't handle. I am hoping to continue to hold the class for as long as there are new interest sparking. I have received more support than I expected also. Again I say thanks.
