Welcome to Christianity dude, except they don't whine when they take one to the groin...their God has their backs.
Maybe if you wore more black eyeliner and black lipstick you would be accepted into the "girl club".
I hear christians whine daily, many on these boards, and most much louder than we do. Tell 'em they can't teach religion is schools, put the ten commandments up in a courthouse, or put the baby jesus on the courthouse lawn at christmas and I guarantee christians will be whining with one voice from sea to shining sea. "Your taking away our rights to beat people over the heads with our beliefs! Waaaaaa!" Gimme a break.

Yes, yes, christians do suffer persecution, but when you overwhelmingly outnumber the rest of the nation it's hard to believe the bulk of christians suffer much hardship at the hands of other faiths. Plenty at the hands of factions within their own faith, to be sure, but not much from outside.

Nice pathetically inaccurate stereotype, by the way. Goth was never a major trend in paganism, nor was paganism a major trend in the goth world. Notice they mostly wore goth stylized crosses? Funny, that. So, from my standpoint it would be more you that should stop whining and spread on the lipstick. Those stereotypes fit your group much better than mine. I'm a green fan, myself.

As a quick footnote to my above post, I was making the point that when people suggest christians should remove their faith from the public lawn there will almost assuredly be whining about it. Perhaps not by the poster I responded to, but there will be. Though based on his high-and-mighty attitude, I will engage in some stereotyping of my own and assume he's the first in line at the protests when these things do arise.

Well this sucks. It's hard to stay on topic when the article is dead and I never got to read it.

Either way, while I don't support the war in principle I do understand the sacrifice our friends, kids, parents, or we ourselves are taking right now. I have many friends who did go to Iraq, Afghnistan, and Bosnia, among others. I worked with a guy who was sent home due to a crushed collarbone when his vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb which killed the guy behind him.

Whether or not I believe the war in Iraq is actually doing much for our safety, these men and women are sacrificing life, limb, and family in the honest belief that they are. And they are doing so under the same flag my father and grandfathers served under. As such I feel they deserve every ounce of respect we bestowed upon those on the beaches at Normandy.

What happened to our vets after Vietnam was one of the most shameful things in the history of American conflict, in my eyes. That it is happening even on a limited degree in these conflicts disgusts me. May the gods bless those, like the Patriot Guard Riders, who would protect the honor of our fallen soldiers regardless of their agreement with the conflict itself.

Still you are patriotic to consider dead humans without a thought of nationalism. The Pentagon considers 4000 Americans dead compared to plus 300 thousand Iraqis....America is winning.
Karma can be such an ugly thing. Torture, secret prisons throughout Europe, Just the denial of such ugliness.
This is not a good day to be American.
The only bad karma I feel is that sad, pathetic soul you are using as an avatar. Can that girl at least wash her hair and smile?

Can we PLEASE not resort to personal attacks? Honestly, everyone can have a different opinion and still not hate each other. Your post is off topic and unnecessary as well as just plain cruel. Clean up your act.
Natalia, I like your picture. It is honest, which cannot be said for many...

CODEPINK is a women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end the war in Iraq, stop new wars, and redirect our resources into healthcare, education and other life-affirming activities. We reject the Bush administration's fear-based politics that justify violence, and instead calls for policies based on compassion, kindness and a commitment to international law. With an emphasis on joy and humor, CODEPINK women and men seek to activate, amplify and inspire a community of peacemakers through creative campaigns and a commitment to non-violence. <p><quoted text>The story is related to Pagan/Wiccan News as Code Pink is now "resorting to witchcraft" ....</p>

When you tell me "its not a good day to be an American" use words like "slaughter" and "torture" she makes it personal. Her use of adjectives is amazing. BTW, you stated "everyone can have a different opinion" So back off. And of course I see you use the word hate without a shred of proof. Birds of a feather.

My issue was not in your disagreement of what N. said. It was attacking someone's appearence to try to make them feel small. Please understand that I will not respond to you again, as I can see now that it makes no difference. Blessed Be.

You know this stinks. You can disagree with the war, I do. But there is no need to disrespect our troops. The troops don't choose what wars they are going to fight, they volunteer to go where we send them through the choices of our elected leaders. If the codepink people have a problem with the war, then by all means protest our idiot politicians in washington. But they need to leave our soldiers the hell alone.
We worship the God in many asspects, one of them is as the warrior. Yet we disrespect the guys who have been called to be warriors? We and everyother nation have the responcibility to have a standing army ready to protect our nation and our allies. If bad politicians choose to send them somewhere we don't want them to go, why attack the soldiers? We choose to elect the people who sent them on the mission that they are on, they are sacraficing for this country and we treat them like crap in return.
I'm tired of people disrespect the troops, dis the politicians and leave our soldiers alone. The war wasn't something that they started it was started in Washington, and it will be finished in washington.
If you respect the troops, you wouldn't let them die needlessly. Iraq has nothing to do with 9-11, and you know it. Stop the lies, stop the killing of innocent soldiers. Many of Bush's insiders have already stated the war is about oil.

Sir, as you can see if you read my post I do not personally agree that we should have gone into Iraq.(Although I do agree with entering Afganistan) Secondly, if this war was started to get cheap oil, then where is the cheap oil? Why if we have spent 4000 american lives to purchase cheap oil is the oil not comeing? I will tell you why, because this war is not about oil.
This war has been demogoged left, right, and center. People are not being fair to our soldiers, they are dieing, and they did't choose to go there. So lay off them and open your mind alittle, stop allowing your hatred for Bush to cloud your thoughts. Istead of screaming Bush lied People died, think about how we are helping the Iraqie people, our soldiers are building them hospitals and schools, we are helping them with electricity and clean running water. They had been living in fear with a dictator, now they have elected leadership. So even though we had no business going in there in the first place we now have the responcibility to help them rebuild the country. Wether you agree with the war or not the God and Goddess CAN bring good from bad, we CAN help these people. We have gotten involved and when they are on there feet, then we can leave. We cannot leave now because we have made them a promise not to destablize their country by leaving them without helping to rebuild first. They want us to stay, their government has asked us to stay. So, get over your hatred, and check out the many charities that have opened up to help the Iraqie people.

In summery, I don't think we should have gone there in the first place, but now that we are their we can't leave until we finish helping the Iraqies get back on their feet. You say they are having a civil war and its none of our business. I say we started their civilwar and we have to help them, its our responcibility. We burned down their house, now we gotta build them a new one.
