<quoted text>The issue is not religion, but honesty. Who is Bert the Priest? I started checking out things myself and find there are some unusual things. Just who made him High Priest? Apparently HIMSELF! There is no official CUUPS chapter in Arkansas! Some Pagan sites do not support him.
If the guy wants to have peace and quiet why did he go show his ass at the neighboring church? Especially during services! This seemed more like a publicity act and publicity he did receive.

I went at night and looked at Lighthouse-- OMG it is not even that bright and doesn't' appear to shine a beacon on this guys home or temple. If you look directly at the light you can see it.
I THINK THEIR LIGHTHOUSES HAVE BEEN THERE LONGER THAN DAHL!

Who really cares if there is a Pagan Wiccan Temple meeting place or whatever they want to call it? It is not Satan Worship & even if it was the United States Supreme Court ruled that as a recognized religion many years ago!
THIS IS America AND WE DO HAVE FREEDOM OF RELIGION!
Everybody has to follow the same building codes in any town. If this guy was so smart why didn't he check into things before buying the property? That would have made things simple and probably even simpler to fix if necessary.
As far as Mike Robinson saying there was not going to be a Pagan anything in his town, well that is probably B/S, Robinson is a very smart person and fully aware that he can not violate somebody civil/ constitutional rights, especially freedom of religion. By doing so he is target for a large tort action against himself and the City he serves.

As far as Seekers Temple: it is a Non Profit Incorporation in good standing with Arkansas Secretary of State, meaning fees paid! Bert and Wife are Officers and incorporators. Are they an IRS approved 501-c-3 Incorporation, being recognized as a religious organization? That leaves something to be determined.
The Pagan Pride is also listed to Bert as a Non profit Incorporation. It is public record for anybody's view.
There are other Pagan Incorporations listed in Arkansas as well, call them find out yourself about this guy, good bad or ugly.

All of this seems like it has been created for a lawsuit to occur, in hopes of gaining income.
If this is an honest group without ulterior motives, then so be it. If they meet necessary requirements for a business license, let them have one. If their location meets requirements for a meeting place, let them have it.
IF NOT THEN THEY SHOULD GET INTO COMPLIANCE! NOT HIDE BEHIND CLAIMED RELIGION AS A SHIELD.
I like you. Your statement is coherent and your views are similar to mine. We understand that there is freedom of religion here and do not revert to frothing-at-the-mouth rage whenever religion is brought into the mix. Glad to hear some sane voices out there.

The town of Beebe needs to stand up for what we believe in. Jesus is Lord and we will not back down. Our job is to stand up for our One and only Lord. Let's go Christians! I believe this is a test for us.

This isn't a Christian country, dingleberry. If Muslims, for example, wanted to build a damn mosque in town, and within the proper zone, there's nothing you can do about it. I guess we're all created equal unless we pray to a different deity?
It seems a lot of our local residence use their "Christian" beliefs to, pardon the pun, raise hell any time someone with different beliefs enters the mix. Go read your bible some more and get back to us when it's true message sticks to that hypocritical, stuck in the stone ages brain of yours.

I love seeing post from people who claim to know Bert. They have the facts wrong or they talk lies that have nothing to do with case!

Fact is city officials have discriminated a pagan church. The lighthouse harassed the Dahl's with the light house beam. The pastor refused to help or move the lighthouse due to being offended at the Dahl's religion. Now the lighthouse has moved the light. The church knew they were wrong! You people who claim to know Bert, why don't step out and stop by and say the lies to his face and family! You don't know half of what you think you know. For the people who think this is a scam, say that to lawyer who will win the case for the Dahl's! This is for real folks. Also Bert and seekers temple didn't ask for the media to get involved. They saw the facts of the case and saw it was wrong.

And for the people who come from the cult across the street. Do you really think the pastor would say he was doing anything wrong to you sheep? He will only tell you what he wants you to know! Seekers temple only tells the Truth!

Welcome to america.. it is a secular nation.. One in which you and i can worship. One in which you and your fellow travelers do not get to say whom worship in a church of their choosing. Even if it is of a different religion and is not christian.

Please don't post stuff like this. We send missionaries into other countries who don't have the right to be given a choice what to believe. I have a friend in Asia right now, and if he is ever found out he will most likely be arrested and disappear for the crime of giving people a choice in what to believe. Many men and women fought to be give us a choice in what to believe, so be proud that people have that choice now and that Christianity allows us the opportunity to witness through love and not hate. God has a plan, no matter our situation.

Cult- a system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object.
"the cult of St. Olaf"

I mean, I don't understand how this doesn't apply to most religions. We Christians worship Jesus/God, Islam worships Muhammad, Buddhists don't really fit this category since they just desire to not have desires, I don't know much about paganism but even Nordic pagans and most have a god or goddess that they worship above the others I believe. I don't think cult is the insult people have come to believe it is.

How can you harass someone with a lighthouse?! If it's true, I know that must be have been frustrating and I'm sorry you had to go through that, but that's really clever and funny symbolism on their part. I guess it's good you didn't live across from a living waters church or you might be reviewing your flood insurance.

I'm glad I don't live in Beebe anymore.

That is a LIE!
The light revolves & shines up in the trees! It doesn't hit the roof line or any part of his house! It's one thing to get on here and post facts. Don't post lies that people can drive down Dewitt Henry Dr & see for themselves !

So do you think the lighthouse was originally created years ago with the purpose in mind to be able to attack neighbors with it, or do you think they found out that there was "evil among them", and figured out how to engineer a revolving watchtower with a super beam of light to focus the full power of the sun to fry their enemies?

I'm not trying to sound non-empathetic, but I doubt there is a watchtower or lighthouse in America that has this focussing power that is claimed. I'm not trying to hang up on you, since you're the minority in town, but can't you see how this appears a bit far-fetched?

The original lighthouse was built in the early 80's. It & the church was destroyed in "99". This lighthouse was replacing that one
. Construction started in January of this year. BEFORE, I might add, bert bought his house across the street!

If I were this Bert character, I'd send three friendly notices to the church, well documented, as well as documenting and recording the disturbance. Then, go to the city and ask for help, documenting along the way. And then, go find one of the many many atheist rights lawyers all over the country who will sue for any reason they can find, and get a lawsuit going, or media involvement.

Bert going through this course only makes the average person dubious of any claims. It is up to the prosecutor to prove guilt, not up to the accused to prove innocence.

Follow the way of Martin Luther king Jr., who used nonviolence and logic to prove his case. Not rage and temper tantrums while people who have no idea what is going on are trying to worship.

Seriously that is your answer..

Lets try this.. The light house never before shown a light into the house before. Suddenly there is a bunch of pagans living in the house. The light as mentioned never shown into the house before.. Why suddenly is it shinning into the house now.. Answer.. Harassment. Pure and simple. I have been down there and that light house is capable of beaming a light in to the house.

So can you see that you just made a fool of yourself. By the way I do not live in Beebe.
