The upside down pentagram in satanism is a hollywood invention. Witchcraft pre-dates christianity and Satanism is christrian religion. Their symbol was the upside down cross until hollywood got involved

I still find the super-natural awesome, just think more people need to get more information and understand what it is all about. I call it super-natural maybe that is not the proper term but still find it fascinating.

That was the symbol for Satanism. It was hollywood that thought the upside down pentagram would look good in movies and called it a satanist symbol

Also, please keep in mind that not all Witches are Wiccan. And not all Wiccan are Witches. Wiccan is a religion, while witchcraft is a rather complex art... so to speak.

I'm good with the whole wiccan thing. People are free to believe as they wish, even if it doesn't conform to mainstream society's idea of "proper". If you don't want your kids exposed to it, keep them away from the TV after family hour.

I have no problem with the practice of any religon, as long as it doesn't require you to strap a bomb to yourself and kill as many people as you possibly can.

I'm a druid myself, but Wiccan comes close enough. About the inverted pentacle and Satanism...

Early Christians actually were about to use the pentacle as the symbol of their faith instead of the cross. In their view, the five points of the pentacle represented the five wounds of Christ... but the pentacle pre-dates Christianity, and of course Wicca, which is really only about 60 years old (it's a mixture of several much older religions). The pentacle goes back at least as far as ancient Egypt, and perhaps further.

As for the inverted pentacle commonly used by Satanism, especially the one with the goat in it, that is called the Star of Baphomet. "Baphomet" is thought to have been derived from the Greek words "Baphe" and "Metis," which mean something along the lines of "the absorption of knowledge." This was a symbol of the Knights Templar, also known as "the Poor Soldiers of Christ." They were an order of knights hand picked by the pope, and were later accused of witchcraft by a French king who seems to have thought they'd become too powerful and were tortured while being interrogated.

Anyway, back to the pentacle as Wiccans and most other modern day pagans see it, it is pretty much a symbol of life... the lower four points represent the elements (earth, fire, air, water) with the top point representing spirit. Combine the five, and you get life.

The 3rd poster from Roswell said that they found the Supernatural to be awesome. I agree! I think it is awesome that God supernaturally sent His son to earth to die for people that He loves...even those who reject Him. If you don't want anything to do with Him in this life, He won't make you spend eternity with Him either. Guess that won't matter if your evolving into a rock or tree later anyhow...it takes more Faith to be a Wiccan than a Christian. I know people who have had their lives changed by Jesus. Anyone know anybody who use to be a Tree? Kinda weird...better hope you're right with the Wiccan thing. You only get one chance the way I see it. If I am right, I go to Heaven. If I am wrong and the Wiccans are right, I die and come back as a termite -
