I'd suggest that is because there are far too many people who call themselves "Christians", but in no way practice the Christian faith other than (maybe) going to church on Sunday. If Wicca was as widespread and popular as Christianity, it would have the same percentage of embarrassments. Human nature is what it is.
I do agree that most of the Quakers I've met have been fairly admirable people.
The reality is that unlike the catholic church to name one. When some one is found to be using a Pagan religion to abuse children or break the law. We as do not protect or hide them.
