Jerusalem to become Egypt’s capital under Mursi’s rule, says Muslim cleric

If Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohammed Mursi became president, Egypt’s new capital
will no more be Cairo, but the new capital will be Jerusalem, a prominent Egyptian cleric said
at a presidential campaign rally, which was aired by an Egyptian private TV channel.
“Our capital shall not be Cairo, Mecca or Medina. It shall be Jerusalem with God’s will.
Our chants shall be:‘millions of martyrs will march towards Jerusalem’,” prominent cleric
Safwat Hagazy said, according to the video aired by Egypt’s religious Annas TV on Tuesday. The video...

Matthew 23:37

Regarding the first paragraph above, we see a probable reason for the next exile if we don't change the attitude of our politicians.
Homosexuality was one among the customs of the Canaanites that, metaphorically, caused God to make the land vomit out its inhabitants. The Torah warns us all not to defile ourselves and the Land with such an abomination that will only drive us out of the Land eventually.(Lev. 18:22-30)

And for "Jerusalem who kill the prophets..." Jerusalem or Zion is a simile for the People of Israel.(Isa. 1:2,3) I do not agree with Mat. 23:37, which is affected by the antisemitic attitude of the Hellenistic writers of the gospels. I would appreciate if you could quote something in the Jewish Scriptures to the effect that the People of Israel ever killed the prophets. The fact that Ahab, especially his pagan wife Jezebel killed some of the prophets does not mean at all that the People of Israel killed the prophets.

What are you talking about? We are rather good at interpreting prophecies but all related to Judaism and not to a foreign religion.
Ben
.
If you any good at interptreting prophecies you would have an escatological doctrine which you don't.
.
Secondly it is plain that Judaism as a religious system (as opposed to individual Jews) couldn't even understand and believe the words of the prophets or they wouldn't have gone into exile. Those were plain words as opposed to those needing understanding.
.
Thirdly interpretations as to the coming of Messiah (like in the Talmud and the Haggadah) have been excused as Israel not being worthy. So that only leaves us with they didn't know what they were talking about or they had to make excuses why the one who came at the appropriate time and did more than any other Messiah of Israel is not the real Messiah.
.
Fourthly they were not very good at reading signs either as we have recorded in the Talmud that after the death of Yeshua these strange things persisted:
1. The lot for the scapegoat continually came up in the left hand of the priest for forty years. Thats odds of 2 to the 40th power.
2. The westernmost light in the temple would not stay lit throughout the night as it had before.
3. The doors of the temple would open of their own accord.
4. The scarlet thread attached to the door of the temple never turned white again indicating G-d had forgiven the people (Rosh HaShanah 31b)Yoma 39b

Jerusalem here is used as a synonym for Israel, the Jewish People. The Jewish People never killed the prophets or stoned those who were sent to her. This is a false accusation by the anti-Semite who wrote the gospel attributed to Matthew. If the Gentile Jezabel of Ahab killed some prophets, it does not mean that the whole of Israel is a prophet killer.

20 See, O Lord, and observe from heaven against whom have you turned. Thus is it right for the Daughters of Israel to eat the fruit of their wombs due to starvation, lovely children wrapped in fine linen? The Attribute of Justice replied, and said, "Is it right to kill priest and prophet in the Temple of the Lord, as when you killed Zechariah son of Iddo, the High Priest and faithful prophet in the Temple of the Lord on the Day of Atonement because he told you not to do evil before the Lord?"

BEN: You are the one twisting the Scripture here, because the Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53 is idendified by the Prophet himself as Israel by name.(Isa. 41:8,9; 441,2,21.
BRUCVE: Here, you ABSOLUTELY PROVE you have no credibility whatsowever, because YOU are twisting Scripture! There are numerous Passages where "`aved" and "`avediy" are used throughout The Tanakh and it is used of a number of different Yisrae'lim as well as The Entire Nation and The Messiah Himself! So for YOU to TWIST Scripture by making the false claom that it ONLY refers directly to Natioinal Yisra'el is just plain deception! If you want me to demonstrate this, let me know and I will! Furthermore, The Passage in Isaiah 49 you bring up here absolutely cannot be a reference to national Yisra'el nor to a righteous remnant! Why can't it be a "righteous remnant"??? Ask yourself, because above, you made the claim that "Servant" can ONLY refer to National Yisra'el in Scripture, but NOTHING in The Tanakh even remotely makes this claim or implication! The exact opposite! So please make your case based on fact, not deception!
BEN: If you don't believe the prophets, that's a problem that only yourself can fix it with learning more accurately what the Scriptures says.
BRUCE: How about comning off your pride and doing a study of the words "`aved" and "`avediy" in The Tanakh and see for yourself it does not exclusively by any means only refer directly to national Yisra'el???????? If this is your basis for saying The Suffering Servant is National Yisra'el, or a righteous remnant, it is a pitiful case you've made!
Prayerfully,
Bruce
.
using a previous passage to identify Israel as the suffering servant of Isaiah 53 requires us to:
1. Reject the Targum which identifies the servant in verse 52:13 as the Messiah.
2. Not stay within the context of the passage, which is not required but certainly would not be allowed to contradict the rabbinic authority of the Targum.
3. Close our eyes to the description of this servant which eliminates the nation of Israel as the servant such as:
a. He humbled himself and opened not his mouth(vs 7)
b. He was cut off from the land of the living (vs 8)
c. There was no deceit in his mouth (vs 9)
4. Invalidate all the Talmudic passages which use Is 53 as descriptions of the Messiah as an individual as opposed to the nation.
5. Give up any hope in G-d sending the Messiah to save us because according to you the Messiah is here and sponsering gay parades in Tel Aviv.

The strange things you refer to, which persisted after the death of Yeshua is only evidence that Yeshua was not the Messiah.

Regarding the lot for the Scapegoat to continue being performed after the atonement of Israel for Judah, it was, IMO, supposed to continue in memory of that atonement, or perhaps to keep the Gentiles atoned for the salvation that comes from the Jews in the words of Jesus himself.(John 4:22) From the Jews, he said, not to confuse with from one among the Jews.
