Very, very sad thing.

But then why do christian reporters continue to claim that secularism and humanism has caused the surge in rapes, when it is their own who are doing them.

Secularists and humanists are enlightened to the lie that is called god, and therfore embrace their humanity and the mutual respect necesary to survive as such.

It is fallen god believers (and crazy pepole) who commit all the "godless" acts; that's the their (the criminals) problem, they actually believe in a god that is more of a dead-beat than a dodger dad, and it frustrates them to no end.

Like abandoned children doviting.

My favorite is the ultra-religious claim that same-sex marriage will lead to all sorts of things, like incest and polygamy, when indeed those are already fairly common among certain fundamentalist cults.

Remember there is a big difference between a Godly person or Christian and someone who CLAIMS to be a christian. A real christian who is a follower of Christ, and is a new born person would never do those things.
