The Amish are good people. What happened did they fire you or something. They don't bother anyone, they take care of each other... Are you jealous, stupid, or cold hearted. If you meant for this to be a joke, you have bad taste and bad timing. Grow up and go back to school, get a job and get off the computer.

They Esh family, as well as their friend Ashlie, and my cousin Joel who was the fiance of the Esh's youngest daughter were all Mennonite. However, the the Eshes and my cousin Joel's family were Amish up until about 6 or 7 years ago (I don't know about Ashlie). They decided to become Mennonite, not so that they could use modern conveniences as momma4 ever put it, but rather so that they would be free to spread the gospel. While a lot of the basics of Amish and Mennonite faith are the same or similar, the Amish don't generally believe in evangelism and missions.

And yes, some people are "just born Mennonites," as I was. Mennonites have been around a lot longer than just since the early 1900s though... more along the lines of since the mid-1500s.

Don't worry, you didn't offend me, I just thought I'd set everyone straight as much as I could so that there wouldn't be any confusion. Thanks for your prayers. They really are appreciated.

As for where I'm from, I currently live in Southern Indiana, but grew up in Northern IN, almost to the Michigan line.
