US lesbian child custody fight becomes battle over God's law vs. man's

There are 12 comments on the Amherst Daily News story from Jun 27, 2011, titled US lesbian child custody fight becomes battle over God's law vs. man's. In it, Amherst Daily News reports that:

Lisa Miller's path from committed lesbian to international fugitive started in 2003.

She broke up with former partner Janet Jenkins, renounced homosexuality and became an evangelical Christian before disappearing in 2009 with the daughter she had with Jenkins.

Now, what started as a custody battle over little Isabella Miller-Jenkins has turned into a global manhunt, with indications that Mennonite pastors and other faith-based supporters may have helped hide the two in Nicaragua and are now coming to the aid of a missionary the FBI says helped Miller

Give onto Ceaser that which is Ceasers, and onto God that which is Gods.

It was from a time that men owned other men.

Rome had laws, we have laws. Violate their law and you died, violate our laws and your a hero.

things like this make it hard to believe in our laws.

Missionary Timo Miller will go to trial, and will go to jail. Lisa Miller, if caught, will stand trial for child abduction.

And while I believe that we have far too many unenforceable laws and regulations on the books in America, the fact remains that those who flaunt the rule of law, and attempt to escape justice, are outlaws. There is no "God's Law."

According to the Bible, Jesus said that the highest law was to love God and others as you love yourself. But people like this are examples of people who do not even first love themselves, and instead use religious excuses to justify illegal acts.

None of this would have happened if Lisa would have just swallowed her pride and let her x-wife visit her daughter. What a sad turn of events. That poor little girl is going to need a lot of therapy to get over all that her mother is putting her through, and not to mention that it's almost certain Lisa's filled her head with all kinds of horrible notions about the kind of person Janet is.

As a world society we live by laws of man. god is for the afterlife and the renewal of life not for all men. different cultures different rules. When In Rome.....

It is hard to balance justice and law. I worry about this life, not the next or last.
