they are very few elca synod church's that are really lutheran excepting in name only .

there are about as lutheran as president Obama is A FRIEND OF THE republican party..

thats how lutheran they are..

real lutheran churches welcome homosexuals to receive Christ forgivnes for the sin of homosexuality ..

or did you not know ..

christ jesus only came to save sinners if homosexuals refuse to see their sin what in the world would they need Jesus their only savior for.
==========
Either sin is with you, lying on your shoulders, or it is lying on Christ, the Lamb of God. Now if it is lying on your back, you are lost; but if it is resting on Christ, you are free, and you will be saved. Now choose what you want.--Martin Luther

I'm an ELCA Lutheran and attend church each Sunday because I enjoy doing so. ALL of the Lutheran churches I've attended in the past 20 years (as well as churches of other denominations) have been welcoming to gay and lesbain eople.

In fact, back in 2009, when I had moved upstate New York, and was looking for a church to join, I attended 14 Lutheran churches, in various cities and villages, and whether they were RIC or not, I was welcomed at ALL of the Lutheran churches I visited. I attended St. John's and St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Canajoharie for a few years, and even though it was not offically an RIC church, I was welcomed there by all, and I enjoyed being a member there.

I have visited many churches over there years, and regularly attended a few churches over the years, and in my personal experience, it is a MYTH that Christain churches are hostile to, or not welcoming to, gay and lesbian people. No matter what churches I have attended or visited, and no matter what denomination they were, I was ALWAYS welcomed.

Rough economies are usually open to anyone's wallets. Jewish girls will even sleep with Nazi soldiers, if that means putting food on the table.

even murders are welcome in our wels churches after all jesus died for those sins to. yet being welcomed does not mean homosexuality or murdering or other sins we people commit are condoned . people are welcomed so they can hear Gods truths not so we all can be content in our sins.
you have miss understanding of the point of why people are welcomed.

Well, we used to have these kinds of arguments at my Lutheran church years ago. But then, about 10 years ago, Pastor Bob came to my church, St. Paddy's Second Reformed German Lutheran Church And Microbrewery and he got rid of all our old bibles.(They were all almost 200 years old anyways). we now use "Pastor Bob's Poetry & Home Beermaking Guide" instead.

Result: No more arguments !
