A man of character
It would be very easy for me to spend a lot of my time and energy talking about the importance of having teaching theologians in our midst, and about how valuable their studies, writings and teachings are to the continued life of the church.

It is interesting that anyone in the ELCA would want a record of their apostasy put in writing for future generations. Their teaching theologians already have enough "clunkers" in print to embarrass them for generations to come. Why would anyone want to magnify their lack of theological acumen? Most failed systems want to do damage control. ELCA seems to want to expand and perpetuate its damage. In so doing, they will continue to lose members lickity split.
