Does the Bible still matter? Only to people whose heart the Spirit has given faith! What is seen is the result of the destruction of the Bible in the ELCA and other denominations via higher criticism and gospel reductionism. The churches are reaping what they have sown. Worse yet, they are leading people away from the Bible and therefore from Christ. The churches themselves will be the blame of the condemnation of many of their own members -- the same as in biblical days!

confessional Lutheranism attempts to let the Bible be its own pope all the time, and the purest Lutheranism will be that synod of Lutheranism that does this most consistently.

God's word the Bible, is the only truth for mankind to obey for their peace, happiness and contentment. Isaish 48:18

Since we are living in the last days of this world, conditions will be getting more severe and this world will experience greater fears, because Satan knows he has a short time left.
Revelation 12:9

Almighty God Jehovah does not want anyone to perish when this world ends, he wants everyone to repent and live in his righteous new world, he does not force anyone to know, love or serve him.

ISAIAH 48:18

New International Version:

18 If only you had paid attention to my commands,
your peace would have been like a river,
your well-being like the waves of the sea.

King James Version:

18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

Complete Jewish Bible:

18 If only you would heed my mitzvot!
Then your peace would flow on like a river,
and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

9 The great dragon was thrown out, that ancient serpent, also known as the Devil and Satan [the Adversary], the deceiver of the whole world. He was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him.

2 PETER 3:11-13

11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.[b] That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. 13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

11 Since everything is going to be destroyed like this, what kind of people should you be? You should lead holy and godly lives, 12 as you wait for the Day of God and work to hasten its coming. That Day will bring on the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt from the heat; 13 but we, following along with his promise, wait for new heavens and a new earth,[b] in which righteousness will be at home.

MATTHEW 22:37-40

37 Jesus replied:“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it:‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

37 He told him,“‘You are to love Adonai your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.’[a] 38 This is the greatest and most important mitzvah. 39 And a second is similar to it,‘You are to love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All of the Torah and the Prophets are dependent on these two mitzvot.”

I told you, Mr. JW, you are NOT going to pervert God's Word while I'M around.

Mormons know the bible is gods word but the book of mormon is another testament. You have thousands of churches out there that teach and ask for money. If i was not a mormon i would be jewish and wait for christ to appear on the mount of olives because i allready know if mormons are wrong why have so many other churches you might as well be catholic but as the church became part of the roman empire and the dark ages happen it took a few people to say no somthing is wrong they were hunted killed and mocked for wanting to say something is not right. Catholics will not let you say jesus had brothers but everyone else will say yes if you read the bible. So you dam yourself if you do not accept authority . Jesus never saw a gentile baptized we learn how hard it is for leaders of the church to do the will of god because it changes everything in their lives why accept it?

When someone posts a Scripture from any Bible, it is to be read as God's word.

A preacher should use the Scriptures as his authority for what he teaches, and not his philosophy of what he thinks the truth is.

There is only one truth, the Scriptures as Jesus taught.

John 17: 14 I have given your word to them, but the world has hated+ them, because they are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world.+

15 “I request you, not to take them out of the world, but to watch over them because of the wicked one.+ 16 They are no part of the world,+ just as I am no part of the world.+

17 Sanctify+ them by means of the truth; your word+ is truth.
