church votes to leave ELCA
A Brookfield church has voted overwhelmingly to leave the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the first Milwaukee-area congregation to begin severing its ties since the ELCA's 2009 decision to allow gay and lesbian clergy.

I wonder where the Bishop gits his information. According to the ELCA's web sight they have lost 911 congregations. since 2006. This nmber inludes the 370 last year that there official web site does not show. I recieved the 370 number by writing the ELCA office of the secretary. These are the facts Bishop!

The bishop says that the "separating of like-minded churches does serve the body of Christ very well." This is why the ELCA is losing people. Its leaders are so stupid that they think those leaving ELCA over the scriptural issue of homosexuality -- especially homosexuals in the pulpit -- and of homosexuality being a sin according to the Bible are still "like-minded" with those who want homosexuals in the pulpit and who do not believe that homosexuality is a sin according to the Bible. When you have such clueless dufusses as bishops, there are going to be divisions.
For a complete list of churches that have left the ELCA and for a partial list of new congregations formed off ELCA churches which did not not get the two-thirds vote needed two times see David Barnhart's blog.
