We see the lie of the liberals as referred to by Pastor Hobby Outten. The lie is that the ELCA vote does not affect the local congregtion. If the local congregation sends money to the ELCA or its local synod, it is supporting that with which they may disagree. Their local circuit pastor or synod bishop, who advises them in doctrine and practice, could be gay and could mislead them. When they attend a convention or a conference, the presiding pastor(s) may be actively gay. The truth is that the national decision does affect the local church.

This is under the heading, "There are no winners." Whenever a Christian sides with God's word, he is a winner. However, the ELCA is not concerned with God's Word -- as the article points out. It is concerned with social agenda at all costs -- even the cost of losing a fair amount of churches, members, and money. So be it!

But those that left were not siding with God's word, only thrie own ignorance and fear.
There is no such thing as "actively gay". A person is either attracted to the opposite gender, the same gender, or both. Trying to wrap God-given triats that harm no one in religious undertones is not something of God.
And being straight or gay does not determine one's calling to serve God, and one's fellow Christians.
Only God does that.

You must look and search for the true Christian religion today, all the doctrines taught have to fit with the Bibles direction, from God's word not mans.

Leaving a Chruch or religion because they teach things contrary to Scripture is only one vital step, you must live according to Scripture and know the reward that is waiting for obedient sevants of Jesus our heavenly King.

The hope of eternal life on earth in paradise will be a reality for only the meek and honest hearted ones.

You must adjust your thinking according to God's word, you must live in harmony with Jehovah God's word.

(Zephaniah 2:3-4) 3 seek Jehovah, all YOU meek ones of the earth, who have practiced His own judicial decision. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. Probably YOU may be concealed in the day of Jehovah’s anger.

I've known quie a few gay pastors and lesbian pastors, and some are ELCA Lutherans, and they're all wonderful people.

As both a minister and a Christian living under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. The true Church (upper case C) should not judge because our Lord never once said anything about homosexuality. He did say a lot about not judging as well as condemnation upon those who used religion to supported government policies that exploited the poor and disenfranchised. The church will only become the CHURCH when it quits straining the gnat and responsibly addresses the weightier matters of the law. (Matthew 23:23-24
