The Southern Baptist claim that 40% of LDS converts come from their group...another Evangelical claims that 90% of our converts come from the Protestant group. Sounds to me like someone's worried about their livelihood being threatened because the LDS Church does NOT have a paid ministery the way the New Testiment outlined. So if preachers or ministers bare falsewitness about the LDS Church to shock or keep their flock from investigating our religion you can bet it has more to do with their pocketbook than it does with us being a false religion. For those who have the courage to investigate in an honest way find out the real truth about our religion. And the ones who follow so blindly will never know the truth. The Anti-Mormon movement has turned into a multi million dollar industry and there are many who are laughing all the way to the bank as unsuspecting Christians support the lies and misreprensations in books and other propaganda against the LDS Church. I am so glad the LDS Church does not teach against other religions, our missionaries only share the 'good word','gospel' and the Saviors divine plan for all of us. I have yet to see a Christian share the 'good word' only the lies they have been taught about the evils of others religions. They have ministeries and websites that go against all these other religions. LDS have no such things, only defender and sharing the truths. Check it out...you may be pleasantly surprised.... lds.org Other than totally misrepresenting and distorting Christianity?

That sounds more familiar in this case... mormons seem to worship their church,or wards and their temples more than they are worshiping God !! They are always defending their church, but never defend the word of God..........Jesus is almost never mentioned, but talk about temples and mormon church.......then you get a good response from them..

Maybe I think others totally misrepresent and distort the true Christanity or God wouldn't have bothered to Restore his true Gospel. So it comes down to believing what God said or what man said. I'll go with God anytime...but thank you very much.

Are you forgetting who wrote the Holy Bible...why it was God's Holy Prophets who spoke in his name...as in olden times God spoke to his Holy Prophets as he does today. Amos 3: 7 7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. This means even at the time of Restitution of all things and at the second coming of the Lord he will reveal all things to his Prophets...what a comfort that is to know that the Lord has not left us without his Prophets during a time of much trial and tribulation to us prepare for that glorious time when the Savior shall come in all his majesty to rule the earth.

And all of you belive in the Bible as well? Damn. More messed up than I thought. After all of those hundreds of revisions authorized by the Vatican all those years ago! None of it can be believed! Besides, who says the Bible is even true? Man is imperfect and a book regarding a higher power by man is by default imperfect. That's why being skeptical (what the Mormons DON'T want) pays off. Instead of being blinded by ignorance (like the Mormons), I am completely open to all possibilities (unlike the Mormons).
Come on, folks. Wake the Fark up.

I am a former memember of the church, I was always looked down on because i never gained the status as "going to the temple" I am a good person, good man, but i guess i was not perfect, I tried everything to get in there. but no avail. so, i just dont go to any church anymore. and i went thru a bad divorce, no memember of the church was there to help me move, or shoulder to cry on. i guess as long as your going to the church the brotherhood will do anything for ya.i reckon bein a mormon aint for everybody!

If you can prove either to me beyond a shadow of a doubt, I'll retract every "prejudiced" statement I've ever made in my life. The seminary in Safford is located less than 100 yards from the high school. Obviously, this is an attempt to force themselves upon high schoolers and make their presence known. The other religions represented in the area have no such facilities, as the adjacent lots are most likely owned by LDS church members. As for the area having a lot of Mormons, you are correct. However, practicing Catholics far outnumber the Mormons in the valley. Therefore, there is absolutely no reason to build more LDS churches in the valley. As a matter of fact, some of them should be bulldozed. Scientology is a rapidly growing and successful church as well. Wouldn't you say that the Church of Scientology is false? I certainly think so. The reason false churches can attract so many people is simple: people are stupid. Following a religion made up by some guy in Italy or in Salt Lake City and ran from there makes no sense. If one is to practice religion, why not practice it your own way? Why does one set of rules have to apply? I may be wrong, but didn't someone say that Heaven is what you make it? People shouldn't have to try to reach the Heaven some old fart thinks is right. then why spend your time perusing various thoelogical discussions? You must have some serious issues.

I am also familiar with a verse in the bible that says that "there will be no more prophets" or something to that effect.
What happens?
Some jackass who makes a living by robbing innocent people by claimig to have a bank sees an angel! Then he finds some golden plates with the "word of God" on them! WOW!
No.
Forget that crap.
He was a theif.
The religion is based on brainwashing innocents and not having to pay taxes.
And if you idiots even TRY to defend that sham of a religion, you should kill yourselves. It's pathetic. That's like Bush defending Al-Qaida.
Point dog.

You proclaim to be an atheist, yet you quote scripture (or something to that affect) and then start with the name calling and insults. You have a lot of growing up to do before anyone will take you very seriously.

Easy killer. Just because I'm an atheist doesn't mean I don't read the bible. I read it so I can call out idiots who are God-happy and are trying to force themselves on everyone; A.K.A. "Mormons".

Nice thing about this country: if you don't believe in a faith there's no one making you contribute to their upkeep. Another nice thing, is no can stop you believing in what you will unless it brings material/physical harm to others. If the Saints' faith is "not your cup of tea" wonderful! If it is wonderful, again! Let us each worship who, what, and how we choose; or choose not to worship at all. But don't attack or stop me from worshipping how I and who I choose.

It is not saying there will not be prophets but it is quoting the unrightous who will say there will be no more prophets. As for your other question about proving any religion can you prove to me what Salt tasts like? I can not eat it so can you prove to me what the taste is?
