Were these FLDS Mormons? You are in the LDS Mormon forum and we do not practice polygamy and haven't for over 100 years. But were you aware of the Traditional Born Again Evangelical Christians who are not practicing polygamy? There are more of them than the FLDS. They claim it Biblical, you should check out their websites and articles about them so you are more informed about what the Bible even the New Testament says about polygamy then maybe you won't be so quick to judge and make a thread with a stupid name.

Are you referring to people who get married have a child, divorce, get married again, have another child or children, get divorced and marry again and maybe have a third family?

Did you see the reality tv show about Jo and Slade where he was 36 and had children with two different women. Then he "hooked up" with a 24 year old, lavishing her with $$$ things but not giving her much of a life, secluding her in his home much of the time until one day she couldn't take it and
"escaped"?

One of my dear friends who is old enough to have grown kids and who stuck it out with her husband said that marriage of any type is SLAVERY.
If they had to hire someone to cook meals, do laundry, clean, manage a home, pay bills, a nanny or two for the kids, etc. it would cost them a mint. Put a wedding ring on a woman and get it all for free.

Just a thought.

The Muslims can legally practice polygamy up to four wives.
I don't know how much cake they eat. No pork.
