I'm sooo sick of reading/hearing about the attempted genocide of the Jews. It's always one-sided, they never take any responsibility for how/why it happened, and they never want to put an end to it and move on.
Genocide is a basic tool of war, and always has been. There are significant genocides going on right now, and I am unaware of any Jewish led coalition in the thick of it, trying to stop it, nor am I aware of any in the past.
If there are/were, they're keeping a low profile.
To try to make yourself a genocide rock star is obnoxious.

My father fought during WW11, how ever it was when I went to Germany and visited a death camp that the reality of it happen...thus, I say with the Jewish people, " I will never forget..."

See? Jews don't have the market cornered as genocide victims, even though it's portrayed that way on "The Hitler Channel."

This is the problem I have with Jewish wailing. They only wail for themselves. You never hear of any Jewish organization getting their hands dirty to stop any of the many genocides in full effect across this great earth of ours.

I don't deny the attempted genocide of jews in germany. I'm just sick of hearing about it over and over and over.

Jews need to drop the paranoia, by retiring from the self-proclaimed occupation of haranguing non-jews with their genocide wailings and get on with their lives.

I don't beleive that the correct response to the Jewish people is "get over it", they have a right to keep the memory of the holocaust fresh in our minds. There are still people alive today who were in the concentrations camps or had immediate family members who were. This was a terrible time in our history that should never be forgotten.

The only critiscism that I would have is the lack of focusing attention on the current geoncide issues going on now (i.e. Dafur, islamic attacks on non-islams).

What makes the Holocaust so eye-opening as compared to others is that this one came from an advanced Western Civilization. Despite all the technical and philosophical advances, even the 1st World is capable of acting barbaric.

This is also a genocide we have TONS of data on. Thanks largely to the Germans. German efficiency applied to mass murder. They didn't just kill 6 million Jews. They killed over 20 million Russians, plus unknown numbers of social non-conformists like gypsies, homosexuals, Jehovah's Witnessess, pick your fringe group.

The reason America should pay close attention to the Holocaust is simple: it could happen here.

There's nothing eye-opening about it unless you're completely ignorant of world history. When that's the case, you'll just recite trite sayings, starring the Jews, and then go on about your day.

Nice, Scott. So have you noticed our larger Jewish organizations haven't been nearly as vocal about a genocide taking place now, as they are about an attempted genocide that took place half a century ago?
