Jewish Wailing Wall in danger of falling

Part of one of Judaism's holiest sites, Jerusalem's Western Wall, has started crumbling and needs to be fixed to protect worshippers who bow in prayer before the massive ancient stones. via Jordan News.Net

When Herod's temple was built in 1st C. CE a wall under construction fell and killed 20 workers. It led to scholarly debates about "will of God" vs. "accident".

Truth is, when you build on one of the world's most active earthquake zones you will need some repair every millenium or so. Why do you suppose Herod made the temple mount the strongest work of stone masonry in the ancient world?
