Placing a clear understanding on religious violence?

There are 9 comments on the salem-news.com story from Oct 21, 2012, titled Placing a clear understanding on religious violence?. In it, salem-news.com reports that:

The basic plank of Islamophobia can be summed up as follows:

Islam is uniquely violent compared to other world religions.

Of course, it’s just not true. In previous articles, I’ve taken a Thor-sized hammer to shatter this myth by proving that Judaism and Christianity are scripturally and theologically just as violent, if not more so ...

from salem-news:

"... according to the Biblical narrative, Jesus will return to earth as a conquering warrior king, flanked by a massive army of earthly and heavenly beasts. He will then kill all his enemies."

... with the sword that comes out of Jesus' mouth (Rev. 19:15)?

Apocalyptic literature is usually allegorical, not literal, and Jesus' "massive army" is flanked with heavenly hosts clothed in fine linen (v. 14), not beasts; either Danios is confusing the Book of Revelation with The Lord of The Rings, or he can't tell the difference. Perhaps that's why he writes under a nom du plume.

As for Islam, its violence is more inherent than unique, as can be seen from the qu'ran:

"... slay or crucify or cut the hands and feet of the unbelievers, that they be expelled from the land with disgrace and that they shall have a great punishment in world hereafter" (Sura 5, verse 34). This is not allegorical, but instructional as muslims today continue to cross amputate unbelievers and other non-mulims in the less civilized parts of the world.

And don’t forget that Islam's Hadiths promise a special reward on the Day of Resurrection to any Muslim who finds and kills an apostate!

Of all the major monotheistic religions, only Islam literally gives its followers a license to kill into the 21st Century.

Church and state should be separate. That is the solution Christians arrived at after centuries of violence. When religion has political power it makes an oppressive gov. because the people who run the gov think they speak for God.

Do you have rights before God? No. Only obligations. Therefore when the gov thinks it is God, you have no rights.

What Germany did in ww2 was just a replay of what they did in medieval times when they wanted money. Kill the minority and seize their property.

The basic plank of Islamophobia is that muslims are theocratic and therefore oppressive. They demonstrate this on a daily basis.

No point in talking about how wonderful and peaceful Islam is when the muslims are not worth living with.

There is coming a time when the state and religion will be united, it will be a world ruling perfect theocracy. "For out of Zion shall go forth the law and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem" There will also be world peace "they shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks, nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore".

It is true that this earth will be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah, but right now, only a few people are taking God's witnesses seriously.
Matthew 24:14

This earth will someday be filled with health and happiness and everyone will have their abundance of peace and live under God's government, but first Satan the Devil has to be put away, and all his supporters destroyed at Armageddon, the end of this world.

"They are their own witnesses, they see not nor know that they may be ashamed". Deafness and blindness is also a spiritual condition. I thought Satan was supposed to be kept alive and set free after 1000 years. Your whole of theological eschatology is absurd.
