JW Leaks has commenced publishing US Diplomatic Cables relating to Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Watch Tower Society.

The first series of diplomatic cables deals with the years 1973 – 1976 and provides a unique insight into the role the US government played in assisting the Watch Tower Society around the world during the turbulent mid-1970′s.

These diplomatic cables deal with the treatment of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Malawi, the banning of the Watch Tower Society in Kenya and Argentina, arrests of Jehovah’s Witness missionaries and members around the world (incl. Turkey, Spain, Greece, Kenya, Mozambique), the US government’s diplomatic political assistance in trying to get Grant Suiter and Milton Henschel into South Africa for a visit, and the seizing of Watch Tower Society property in various countries.

When taken together the cables show the degree of reliance the Watch Tower Society has placed in the US Department of State and various US embassies to secure the presence of the corporation in Africa, Asia, and South America.

These diplomatic cables will especially assist those who are researching the history of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Africa, Asia, South America, Turkey, Greece, and Spain.

Why didn't they wait on Jehovah?

So they appealed to Caesar, and when that wasn't good enough they eventually joined his court in the UN.

They did.

But, like the Apostle Paul, they appealed to "Caesar" while they waited.

*** Acts 25:11 For if I have done wrong, and have committed anything worthy of death, I do not refuse to die; but if none of those things is true that they accuse me of, no one can give me up to them. I appeal to Caesar!"

OH so then the victims of abuse by members of the org should also do everything in their power in 'appealing to Caesar' while they wait on Jehovah. Good to know. They don't have to worry about bringing reproach on Jehovah's org or Jehovah, they can appeal while they wait... awesome.

So all this waiting on Jehovah is just a figure of speech basically, since no one is waiting, they are actively appealing the law of the land.

Who is saying "wait on Jehovah" when a crime is being committed? Only you it seems:

*** w91 11/1 p. 5 Is Vengeance Wrong?***

Should a crime victim, then, sit back and passively take the abuse? Not necessarily. When our person or property is violated, there are authorities to turn to. You may wish to call the police. At work, go to the supervisor. At school, you may wish to see the principal. That is one reason they are there—to uphold justice. The Bible tells us that governmental authorities are “God’s minister, an avenger to express wrath upon the one practicing what is bad.”(Romans 13:4) Justice requires that the government exercise its authority, stop wrongdoing, and punish the wrongdoers.

*** w62 11/15 p. 693 pars. 9-10 The Benefits of Subjection to Authorities ***

9 Worldly authorities render a judgment and punish persons, whether they are inside the congregation or outside, if they violate the laws of decency and good order. The violators have no right to complain at such punishment, as Paul showed by his words before Caesar’s judgment seat.(Acts 25:11) Hence the Christian congregation cannot protect any of its members if they steal, smuggle, commit bigamy, murder, libel, defraud, and so forth. The congregation must release such guilty members to punishment by worldly authorities. Since the guilty break the laws of the land and thus oppose the “authority,” they are taking a stand against God’s arrangement.

10 The Christian congregation has no orders from God and has no right to protect such opposers and lawbreakers from the due punishment by the “authority” of the land. We cannot hinder, oppose or condemn the execution of the krima or judgment by aiding or shielding lawbreakers. To do so would put the Christian congregation also in opposition to God’s arrangement. Besides letting the krima or “judgment” take its course upon offending members who bring reproach upon God’s people, the congregation may disfellowship such lawbreakers. The congregation does not want to deserve a krima or “judgment” with the lawbreakers by siding or cooperating with them and opposing the worldly “authority.” It also wants no reproach.

Cut the BS Mr. JW PR rep.

Thanks to the internet and the civil lawsuits against the Watchtower society and its cult, Jehovah's Witnesses, the entire civilised world now knows that your denomination protects pedophiles.

That is why you tontos get doors slammed in your faces when you show up on doorsteps with your hypocritical apostate magazines.

You tontos think you are being persecuted but people don't want to associate with groups who protect child molesters and condemn their victims.

Ms. Conti won and the WTBTS will lose their appeal because they have no clue as to what they should have appealed.

Just wait and see Mr. JW PR rep.

If nothing else, Ms. Conti has definitely won in the court of human opinion.

She will also prevail over the WTBTS.

Candace Conti didn't sue the person she says molested her. He has never been charged with a crime. She left him to run free.

Why?

Because she decided to sue who she thought she could get the most money from. Her story is not backed up by ANY witnesses. She's just looking to con money away from Jehovah's Witnesses.

THAT is what anyone who actually knows about the case sees. At least if they don't have a separate agenda against Jehovah's Witnesses.

Wrong again, it is the loss of the case it is the decision that they are appealing. They were found guilty and given a price to pay. They decided to appeal. That's a separate legal issue.
