The objective of teaching the young ideas a person believes to be right and just, whether religious or philosophical is a universal objective.

http://www.aynrand.org/site/PageServer...

The major battleground in this fight for reason and capitalism is the educational institutions—high schools and, above all, the universities, where students learn the ideas that shape their lives.

Ayn Rand’s philosophy—known as Objectivism—holds that historical trends are the inescapable product of philosophy.
----------

Parents teach their beliefs to their children. What a parent subjects their children to in the way of mental-input is their decision. How is this any different than anything else? Higher truths may be above a child's ability to grasp and thus the Watchtower Society has designed a teaching tool within the scope of child's understanding.

For everyone that partakes of milk is unacquainted with the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to mature people, to those who through use have their perceptive powers trained to distinguish both right and wrong. Hebrews 5:13, 14

Does Jehovah love witches, wizards, spiritism and magic?

What does the bible say?

Deuteronomy 18:10 There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, anyone who employs divination, a practicer of magic or anyone who looks for omens or a sorcerer, 11 or one who binds others with a spell or anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events or anyone who inquires of the dead. 12 For everybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable things Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you. 13 You should prove yourself faultless with Jehovah your God.

Is teaching children how Jehovah views spiritism and magic wrong?

Not for true Christians!

Mythbusters,
Thank you for posting those links.
I was lurking on JWN earlier and saw a thread about this DVD.
The person who started that thread had some very interesting observations about that DVD.
The poster wrote :
"Anthony Morris, Governing Body member begins with an introduction.
He refers to the "Governing Body" three times and uses the term "we" or "our" at least a half dozen other times, all in less than 2 minutes.
Additional references were made to other Watchtower publications in this same short introduction.
Interestingly no reference was made to Jesus.
I have always discounted references by others here that the Watchtower was eliminating Jesus and focusing on the Governing Body being the mediator from Jehovah.
But this introduction really solidified this argument.
It was uncomfortably weird and poorly edited."
.
According to you ,is there any bad advise in the DVDs and if so what was it ?

First of all, the videos are awesome! The videos are in complete harmony with the bible and will help parents raise their children in the mental regulation of Jehovah God!
Second, I can't believe professed Christians have a problem with these videos. Jehovah God does want their children to be obedient to their parents and Jehovah God hates magic. We should be teaching our children to hate what God hates. you guys are truly pathetic and I feel sorry for you.
Are you aware that the vast majority of magic is purely a persons skill at tricking others. There is nothing demonic about it at all.
There is even a programme from the USA that shows folks the way the magic (tricks) are done. Once the 'magic' is explained, there is nothing mistacal about it at all. It is something most people can learn to show their friends.

Yes and these types of tricks are not necessarily linked to Demonism/Spiritism/Magical Arts.

Is it proper for a Christian to have a hobby of magical tricks simply for his amusement?

It may be that a person has a hobby of performing tricks that have nothing to do with real magic or demonism. It may be that one simply employs sleight-of-hand tricks or those involving illusions. So if one were merely showing how adroit a person may be with his hands, with no pretense of any magic, there may be no objection to such entertainment. However, whether a Christian will be involved in things of this nature or not is something that should be thoughtfully considered. One might start out performing simple tricks, but this could lead into practices that, knowingly or unwittingly, mimic the magical arts.

----------

Wizards and Witches are not known for doing card tricks but are known for casting spells and divination. There is a difference between doing a innocent sleight of hand card trick and a warrior/wizard that casts real magic. You just have to of seen a Harry Potter movie to know the difference. Playing with a toy wizard is although not real is mimicking a form of Magical person that is known for spiritistic practices.

The REASON WHY THE WTS HAS SUCH A HOLD ON YOU AND IT'S MEMBERS IS BECAUSE OF SPIRITISM,

THOSE THAT CONSTANTLY FESTER ON THE SUBJECT LIKE THE WTS ARE PRACTICING THE SUBJECT.

I have to say, when I watched the videos, I kept thinking to myself 'this can't be, this can't be from the Society'.'Someone has just forged the WTBTS info onto the dvd'
This is just someone trying to make them look worse.

And yet there it is in living color.
Amazing.

Strange and creepy.

What is creepy about the video? The snake? It is obvious the they taught their children the account of how Eve was decieved by the serpent, satan. When he recalls satan he thinks about the snake, and does the right thing rejects the toy? What is the problem!? What is so creepy!?

The PARANOIA AND FEAR THAT THEY INJECT INTO THE HEADS OF LITTLE KIDS,

THE ACTION FIGURE THAT WAS DISPLAYED WAS AN ACTION FIGURE,

THE WTS MAKES MAGIC AN OBSESSION CAUSING FOLLOWERS TO BE OBSESSED WITH THE SUBJECT.

NOT A WARNING,
AN OBSESSION.

We teach our children the truth about Jehovah God, satan, Adam and Eve, etc. I will never forget one time I was in a store an I saw a children's book on Adam and Eve. I flipped to the back and the book say they lived happily ever after! Happily ever after!?!?!? What bible is this kid's book based on!?! JW's children no more about the bible than the average church goer.

They ALSO ARE GETTING TO OBSESSED WITH THE SUBJECT OF "MAGIC" AND "SATAN THE DEVIL",

THE WTS TAKES A VERY SLY AND SNEAKY APPROACH TO CONTROLLING THE FLOCK,

HERE ARE THE BASIC NEGATIVE HARMFULL COMPONENTS OF THE VIDEO:

#1 AIMED AT A VERY YOUNG AUDIENCE TO KEEP THE FLOCK IN LINE.

#2 "MAGIC" AND "SATAN" ARE OBSESSED UPON ATTRIBUTING TO PRE-DISPOSITIONED MENTAL ILLNESS.

#3 FEAR INDOCTRINATION IS USED AGAIN MAKING PEOPLE WITH PRE-DISPOSITIONED MENTALL ILLNESS WORSE.

#4 "LOADED LANGUAGE" IS USED FREQUENTLY.

#5 THE VIDEO HAS A BIASED AGENDA.

THE GOOD POSITIVE THAT CAME FROM THE VIDEO

1# TEACHING KIDS TO OBEY THEIR PARENTS.

2# TEACHING PARENTS TO REWARD THEIR CHILDREN WITH VERBAL GESTURES.

3# TEACHING KIDS TO CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES.

Equally DISTURBING,

BUT IN A DIFFERENT WAY,

THE DIFFERENCE IS THE WTS VIDEO AIMED AT A VERY YOUNG CROWD FESTERS AND OBSESSES ON THE NEGATIVE AND IS AIMED AT KEEPING JW'S IN LINE WITH THE SLAVE.

THE INTENTIONS OF THE VIDEO ARE VERY SOUR.

THE "CHRISTENDOM' VIDEO MAY NOT HAVE YOUR DOCTRINAL VIEWS BUT IT IS UP BEAT AND NOT AIMED AT AN EXCLUSIVE AUDIENCE.
