Could it be that the WTS is responsible for their deaths?

Indeed it is.

Any thoughts on why the WTS is responsible?

I will start it of.

The JW that commits suicide feels like this world is miserable and controlled by the devil, therefore no need to be any part of this world.

After all what is the worse they can face?

No hell,so just a quiet sleep.

ooo sounds very tempting,in the mind of negative, pessamistic, miserable JWs that have no education.

The WTS has spiritually raped the minds of helpless JWs.

May God take vengeance on those old men.

It is a very negative religion, especially when they believe that 99.99% of the world's population will be slaughtered.

In 1946, Gosta Rylander investigated a sample of conscientious objectors imprisoned in Sweden. About four percent of the eligible Swedish population was judged psychologically "unfit" for military service, and the corresponding figure for Witnesses was 21 percent, or five times greater. This is close to the same ratio later found by John Spencer, whose diagnosis of "psychotic" or "neurotic" was made on the basis of mental hospital admission screening.

In 1949, in the first study on American Witness mental health, M. J. Pescor diagnosed as psychotic over seven percent of his total sample of 177 young males imprisoned due to obeying the Watchtower's prohibition against complying with military regulations.

The level of Witness psychosis in his sample was about 17 times higher than that for the population as a whole.

Licensed therapist Havor Montague monitored the admissions to state and private mental hospitals and local mental health clinics in Ohio from 1972 to 1976.

From this study of 102 cases, he estimated, "The mental illness rate of JWs is approximately 10 to 16 times higher than the rate for the general, nonWitness population...

From his intensive interviews with Witness patients and others, Montague concluded that persons who had emotional problems were attracted to the Witnesses, but involvement also caused many of the emotional problems that they suffered.

This is evident from the fact that many with problems reported they were far happier after they left.

The JWs are closer to phelps than i ever will be.

Phelps family believe that they are the only ones that God loves.

JWs believe they are the only ones that God loves.

I believe God loves everyone and will judge according to his own judgement.

See the difference.

Of course you don't you are a JW.

Many reasons exist for the mental health problems among Witnesses, but research has found the following to be the most important.
Changes in Policy

The Watchtower is in a perpetual state of doctrinal change, often flip-flopping as many as three or four times on a single issue…."

The Watchtower Theocracy

Another major cause for disillusionment among Witnesses is that they are taught that their organization is a theocracy, specifically run by God.

Those inside the Watchtower organization are the only true servants of God, and all of those outside are evil persons soon to be destroyed at Armageddon.

Yet many are aware of the numerous cases of Witnesses who have done horrible things…."
Prophecy Failure

Many Witnesses harbor a deep-seated fear - fueled by a long history of doctrinal reversals and prophetic failure - that the Watchtower is a false religious organization.

Since this idea has earth-shaking implications for followers of that organization, they refuse to explore their fears, preferring to ration-alize or suppress rather than acknowledge and deal with them.

The key to salvation lies not in being saved in the Christian sense or even being good, but being in the Watchtower organization - although they also teach that even this does not guarantee salvation…."
Watchtower Prohibitions

The Watchtower prohibitions have reached into virtually every area of life and cover minutia to the extreme.

They condemn all holidays and celebrations except one they call "the memorial," and for generations have discouraged higher education and career advancement (although they have relaxed this rule recently).

Missing one of their required five meetings per week (Watchtower activities can take between 20 and 30 hours per week, if one is conscientious), and spending time with non-Witnesses except to proselytize are also condemned.

As a result, it is very difficult for a child raised a Witness to develop into a normal, socially aware, well-adjusted adult.

They are taught that those of the world are evil, and even though worldly people may appear to be kind, this is one of Satan's tactics to lure people out of God's organization…."

Hi SOSSOS,

It is a proven fact that people with higher educations, especially those in the medical professions have a much higher rate of suicide than the populace. Higher education doesn't mean happiness and freedom from problems in life. On the contrary it usually means more problems, more stress, more depression, more worries etc.

God's Word says to lead a simple life, and to do work, hard work is good for us. Jesus and his apostles continualy pointed out that the desire to be rich and the striving to be rich, was a way to inflict wounds on oneself.
1 Timothy 6:9-10 (New International Version)
9People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Didn't Jesus say that it would be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom? Didn't Jesus choose the poor and beggarly ones of this world, because by their being poor they would shame the rich and powerful?

What dimension of your "reality" makes you so unhappy? Do you hate yourself?
"your reality"

Reality is not limited to one single person.

In the JWs case reality is 7million people being manipulated, brainwashed, and enslaved by the WTS.

But wait,JWs do not realize reality because the WTS has controlled them to see reality in the WTS eyes.

The JW becomes forever enslaved, like you.

See basically your reality is not really your own.

Your reality is controlled by the WTS.

Next time you read your WT,ask yourself:

Do i agree with what the WTS has written?

Or have i been decieved by the Satan to believe this?

What category do you fit under, "psychotic" or "neurtotic"?
You really are slow.

It's NEUROTIC, not neurtotic, you ignorant fool.

People with mental illness can be attracted to religious groups and the loving brotherhood that they promise.

Those that do join organizations like the Jehovah's Witnesses are often inadequately prepared for life and lack a support group that would normally be developed in a healthy upbringing.

Sounds like "not really" and "Yuni."

I would expect an ignorant response like that from you.

Actually, I am just following scripture.

Eph. 5:11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

You see stupid, I am exposing you and the phony cult you defend.

No depression causes suicide, and that goes right across the board to every age sex color and religion.
Its very sad - its a personal decision made by a person who is motivated and controlled by strong feelings.
thats why Gods word says ' those trusting in their own heart are foolish."
the 'heart' leads you up the garden path.
true disciples of jesus learn to master their feelings, and be led by the spirit not by what they feel.

I understand what you are saying but here is the problem.

You seem to get the notion that higher education is mainly focused on making more money and it just aint true.

What if i was a doctor and i genuinely wanted to help people?

Would that mean that i am a lover of money?

Of course it would not.

You use scriptures in the Bible that specificaly relate to the love of money.

I am not talking about the love of money, actually i strongly disagree with greedy rich people.

What i am talking about is a honest heartfelt concern to care for sick injured people.

You have excepted the WTS view on those scriptures and not your own.
THAT IS THE PROBLEM.

Are you giving me your side without the aid of the WT?

So you connect higher education to "lovers of money"?

That is ridiculous.

obviously you cannot come to my level.

And yes you are a JW.

No Non JW would defend the JWs.

And Yes i believe the Devil is an "angel of light" like the JWs.

Your religion is rooted with paganism and Satan.
