I'd say that if someone needed to understand a language other than their own, to be saved, then God is both unfair, and prejudiced. It was God who changed the one language to the many, for the explicit purpose of retarding cooperation between men.

IHV OHHH but we can understand other languages.. heck i know one guy who can speak some 7 different languages fluently.. and can quote most of the book of isaiah for you...

thats not the real issue.. although you and i and all jws here and in general cant speak or write the languages..

but like myself i am sure they can pick out certain words from the greek and learn what they mean..

as to the two (well 3 now) words i know the english understanding of them.. i am just curious as to how many here knows what they mean ... in english of course

i doubt i get much response from jws here cause they fear any question i ask ROFL BUT I DO BET A DONUT THAT this topic will lead to the trinity pretty soon

ihv i would also say that some who dont even know the languages claimed to translate their bible.. and in many cases they twisted the meanings of it. how can that happen? maybe we can eventually get to some truth here?

it really doesn't matter if some can understand other languages. not all do, and not all of those who do, can understand any form of Greek,Hebrew, or other original languages that the bible was translated from.

most can read a book in their own language. Many of those who translated original biblical languages into modern language got their start in understanding other languages from reading books in their own language. I am sure that some have read more books than others. accreditation's are only worth the paper they are written on. I guess criticism of a work because of accreditation's or the lack of them is kind of shallow. The proof is in the pudding. There are some charges of doctrinal prejudice in the witness bible. There are charges of the same in all of the other bible versions. I use several bible versions, as well as an interlinear version when trying to get the gist of any controversial text. I recommend that practice to others also.

ihv well i was hoping to have some jws respond but i guess they are afraid.. FOLKS have you noticed that jws dont want to discuss the bible outside of what the wt allowed them to? they beleive anything the wt teaches because they dont know the whole truth ..

this is such a topic.. they are cowards hiding in their little wt darkness hoping these types of things go away

later god willing i will explain the three words and add a couple more to the list or question some of the wt understandings..

you see i know the truth and i know how the wt misleads its students. these students can pass the wt test cause they study the same material from year to year and lots of it month to month

Hi Ihveit

Don’t want to get picky, but don’t you mean “QEBER” and not “GREBER”.“GREBER” isn’t that the Catholic Priest who contacted Spirits. LOL. And in Post #3 you write “BUWRAH”– can’t find that word in Hebrew Dictionary, but I do find “BUWQAH” where Strongs #H950 says it means “emptiness” or “emptied”--- is that the word you are looking for?

For the Hebrew word “QEBER” Strongs at #H6913 says:-- sepulcher, grave, tomb

For the Greek Word “MNEMEION” Strongs #G3914 says:-(i)any visible object for preserving or recalling the memory of any person or thing,(ii)a memorial, monument, specifically, a sepulchral monument,(iii) a sepulchre, a tomb

Anyway, are those the meanings you are looking for? I have no problem in engaging in a debate with you or others, and hopefully others will see fit join the discussion.

I think I know what you are getting at, but a further explanation by you, would be helpful.

All the Best
