The Sovereign Center and Sovereign Performing Arts Center have brought hundreds of millions of dollars to the region, mostly because of the Jehovah's Witnesses gatherings.

If you can't speak English, type in your native tongue and use an online translator.

I hope English is your second language. If not, that means you didn't graduate from the third grade.

That is over $82 per person per year for a 2/3 day and 1/2 nights (maybe) in a hotel, including infants and people who bring their own food and live locally. I am not sure I buy the numbers (and in all humility, I am not sure I figured them right)

I know JWs, they are kind of cheap and like to do this on a shoestring, frequently. We used to take a 1-2 hour bus into the convention daily for the LONG conventions. Now, mom has a car and carpools daily, doesn't park in a pay lot and usually brings most of her own food-and all of her friends are like her. Occasionally one will treat for dinner on the way home, but not in town (cause its a long way home, they gotta get out of town!). When I went as a adult once to philly, we (single women) would share a bed with 2 queens and split the rate 4 ways, arriving the first day of convention and leaving the minute it was over. We ate at fast food, took public trans. and walked and didn't even see the liberty bell (no tourism stuff). I was with a pretty typical group. A big night out for us was dessert at Friendly's. I just don't get the numbers, especially with babies and families and lunch coolers.

It's all spin. They want it to sound good that jws are invading the city. Actually, these news releases serve to warn the local community not to answer their doors if there are two or more zombie like beings bearing book bags and a bible.

I remember talks before the convention saying if you can't afford to tip then don't eat there. There were hotels not on the list from last year because they didn't want the JWs back. Maybe it was just our district but the JWs were hated.

Jehovah's witnesses are not hated wherever they go, you might be wherever you go, maybe you don't tip and maybe you criticize the place of buisness or the service. Jehovah's witnesses try to be true Christians no matter where they go.

I said nothing about tipping (my mom is cheap for herself, but a generous tipper these days if she goes out). Just want to clarify. I think some JWs are-the older ones remember the days when some used to brag about just handing out literature as tips. At some point, I remember being advised that if literature were accompanied by a generous tip it was a better witness:)

Last convention I went to, they didn't serve food and discouraged folks from going out. LOTS of bags and coolers. Anyway, just my .02 worth!

Watchtower stock in munitions and international weapons have reached alltime high. All investors have made out by investing in Watchtower. They pay very good dividends. They use almost slave labor and have almost no overhead.

My financial advisor highly recommends buying watchtower stock. He said they have a steady source of income from the people who believe their propaganda. He said most of their income is sheltered. He mentioned Cayman Islands. They sell weapons to both sides in any war.

You can provide evidence of this, right?

She is lying, there is no stock in the watchtower bible and tract society-- they are a non profit organization. The rest of her post are lies as well.

If about 35 million were not being immediately thrown away/recycled/reused/kindling, that would be a lot more impressive a figure.
