That's even more sad, you actually made a little mission for yourself. Did you get all your G I Joe toys out and your Super Man underwear? You must be so proud.

Well, I thought it was funny. Nice to see you back, Hollie.
One of my newsletters had a quote about the JW's and their "fairy tale" proclamations about when and how the end will come. No one knows when, it is just a fear tactic to use these approximate dates. Didn't anyone learn anything from 1975?

Being under the guilt and fear threats all the time is one thing I don't miss. I really begun to hate that word: "probably", in other words no matter what you did, you still did not have any reassurance of being spared at the time of end.

JW's don't celebrate Halloween because it is a celebration steeped in darkness and evilness. You can read about its roots, and its now modern day view here....

http://www.holybible.com/resources/halloween....

As a Christian, I don't feel it is something that we should celebrate, but it something that each one of us has to decide on for themselves as to how the Lord would view it.

Hi emmaswish! Thank you!:)

I am SOOOO glad you got away from that religion, you cannot be saved or know assurance of being saved as long as you follow the JW religion.

Blessings!

I don't reject Bible prophecy or the end days, I reject the JW way of teaching it. You are reading something into this that I did not say.

we are supposed to use Bible prophecy Jesus himself said we had to use decrement on it. We are not meant to have perfect understanding on it. Biblical prophecy serves as warnings and can be refined all the to time as circumstances change our understanding.

Armageddon is a warning and people are meant to look for the signs leading to it even if mistakes are made. Jesus fulfilled hundreds of messianic prophecies but he had to explain which ones himself to his apostles.

Why are you expecting perfect understanding of biblical prophecy from witnesses when the bible makes it clear all will only be revealed fully at Armageddon.

Christendom sins biblically by their refusal to use bible prophecies?

Witnesses bravely and obediently use biblical prophecy knowing perfect understanding will not come until after Armageddon.

I can't answer for any of the others here, but the witnesses set themselves up for such challenges, because they said they had the time of those prophetic fulfillment's, in no uncertain terms. They have also put themselves, as an organization, in the position of mediator as the only way to get through Armageddon. They (the Governing Body) have sat themselves in the seat of the Greater Moses much the same as the religious leaders in Jesus day sat themselves in Moses seat, and undeservedly so, much like the Pharisees.

You'll benefit from spending time on your plans and dreams for the future.
