because of the wounds Thomas felt I (personally) believe it was the corpse that was resurrected.
HOWEVER, he did NOT take it to Heaven- but was "raised a life-giving SPIRIT" .
So far so good...

Next questions... What happened to the discarded body? When was the body of flesh discarded? Was Christ still in possession of his fleshy body during Acts 1:9-11?

Peace,
Bob

Well, Flunking TheTestBADLY- nice we can have a decent conversation- no matter HOW brief!

1- What happened to the discarded body? No details given
2-When was the body of flesh discarded? before becoming a spirit being again
3- Was Christ still in possession of his fleshy body during Acts 1:9-11? Not unless he re-formed it. No such detail given.

Did the apostles think Jesus was a spirit? Yes

Did Jesus correct them and tell them He was not a spirit? Yes

Did Jesus temporarily trick them, according to you? Yes

What type of body do you expect to have at the resurrection?

You Trinnies even deny THAT by saying Jesus IS God.

Thus no "Between".

This just gets funnier and funnier.

Who here thinks the Bible contradicts itself all the time to support church dogma?

WAS Jesus raised to heaven a spirit being- or a human being with no blood, as KiddieKevin believes, since Timothy wrote about "the man" Christ Jesus many of them had met or heard?

Timothy wrote that? I thought Paul wrote it in a letter to Timothy...(allegedly)

I think Jesus never existed. Without extraordinary modern proof (cell phone picture, news broadcast, etc) I would just chock it up to an extraordinary claim.

Say, have you ever watched NSC?

You love me dont you buddy?

Luke 24:39
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

Come on MADJW, give these folks the WT reasoning as to why Jesus supposedly deceived the disciples.

Thanks for finaly admitting you were schooled my friend. It takes a big man to admit he's less educated than his opponent. Why does the wt teach that the body of jesus was vaporized in the tomb and then falsely created a phony body to fool the diciples it was him?

Well we both believe he was resurrected as a man in the flesh he died in... So we both agree he was fully man up until Acts 1:9.

I do not see any change in Christ in the following passage:

Acts 1:9- NWT
9 And after he had said these things, while they were looking on, he was lifted up and a cloud caught him up from their vision. 10 And as they were gazing into the sky while he was on his way, also, look! two men in white garments stood alongside them, 11 and they said:“Men of Galilee, why do YOU stand looking into the sky? This Jesus who was received up from YOU into the sky will come thus in the same manner as YOU have beheld him going into the sky.”

Since he did not change on his ascent he is fully Man in heaven.

Whether he has blood or not, I do not know. I would say he does for life is in the blood.

I assume the "without blood" question is because of

Luke 24:39-40
39 See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself; feel me and see, because a spirit does not have flesh and bones just as YOU behold that I have.” 40 [[And as he said this he showed them his hands and his feet.]]

He says flesh and bones, but this is only because these are things that can be felt.

You could also be talking about flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom in 1 Corinthians 15... But Paul only uses this term when referring to sinful man in general. So "flesh and blood" is an idiom for sinners. Oh so many topics so little time.

Oh and Christ is fully God because the term "The Son of God" is literal in my book.

So the "Son of Man" also is the "Son of God" and is present in heaven and fits both titles literally.

Peace,
Bob

I think if I were still a bible student, I would have to ask this first: Where is heaven? Is there an atmosphere? Does Jesus poop? Is he still able to use his penis? How about his digestive tract?

However, before even getting into all that, we need to establish historically whether or not the book character existed. So far no one has ever offered us any historical record of his existence. All we have are the NT texts, which contradict each other (suspicious in itself and the cause of thousands of bickering denominations), written by unknown authors (not contemporary historians).

Last, but not least, if Jesus were an actual person with a critical message for mankind, why the hell didn't he write anything himself? For a Christian/JW to pin their hopes on writings penned several years after the events, and then be as critical as to literally interpret them all, is quite asinine from an outsider's perspective.
