OMG! I hated witnessing on Christmas day. Just horrible. You are off from school, it's freezing outside, and all your classmates are in their pjs, all warm and opening presents with their families!
I will never forget one Christmas knocking on the door of Andrew Jones, a classmate I truly did not like. He was this racist little S.O.B. who's parents must be even bigger turds. Anyway, I gave the usual message, freezing and lips quivering. Of course they were not interested in letting all this cold air into their house, even if it were mixed with the hot-air GB message I was parroting.
I can't believe JWs are still so disrespectful to actually go out and annoy people on a traditionally Christian holiday. You would think they would have the sense and courtesy to give it a break for one freakin' day.
NOTHING like telling your classmates you don't celebrate yet HERE YOU ARE AT THIER DOOR ON THIER DAY

as i have asked jw in the past, do you have a special day in your religion and they will say the memorial

i would always ask-- how would you feel if someone interupted you leaving on the way to the memorial?

Poor kids, nothing but child abuse.
That is the one thing I try to educate the ignorant public about, the abuse the kids of the Jehovah's Witness cult take.
What kid would want to be schlepping propaganda on ANY day??
Not one normal, mentally healthy one that is for sure
yea so true i always felt we were intruding on them

i recall one man saying to me and another bro

Oh... I was just confused.
I just figured that you would have been at Church celebrating the birth of Jesus or maybe hanging out with your family instead of banging away at a keyboard on Christmas day.

Nevermind.. we all have our priorities I suppose.

Sometimes my parents would send me alone!!
I was eleven!!
I remember one time another teenage girl and I were forced to go door banging.
Some good looking boys our age answered the door and were partying, they invited us in to join them.
My friend wanted to!
You can see why Jehovah's Witness kids have such high rates of substance abuse, they are forced to do things they have no desire to participate in.
Of course, they want to escape!!
I know the good foundation I had PRIOR to my parents joining the cult is what saved me.

So he is there, tapping away on his smartphone instead of enjoying the time with his loved ones?

How sweet....
Looking out the window and shivering with glee seeing the Witnesses working the street instead of enjoying his family.
Tapping furiously on his iPhone while the Witnesses are knocking at his door.

And yeah, I am pretty up to date with technology.

In short-JWS are not going around buying gifts for their kids and telling them that an obese, bearded Nordic man attired in red who blasphemously is said to know when they sleep, are awake-or when they do bad or good is responsible.

In short Jehovah's Witnesses take away every joy and all the innocence and fun of childhood.

They replace a "jolly old elf" who brings joy to children, with a 7 headed monster and nightmares of an evil god who will burn them with fire if they do not attend boring "meetings" and go schlepping propaganda.

They replace fairy tales and dreams, with talk of anal and oral sex, and explain the intimate facts of how infants are sexually abused, and how to rape Fido.

Yes, Brainless the Kingdom Hall is nothing but a place of physical, emotional and sexual abuse of the children of its brainwashed, robot parents.

How sad that brainless thinks it is a good thing that Jehovah's Witnesses brag that they view innocent, loving, children as so worthless they are not even worth a simple "gift".
Sad, sad, sad.
No wonder why they wish they had Santa like so many of their friends outside of the cult.

hummm then you would know that is a very common thing to do nowdays. As for glee I think he was aluding to the door knocking on a known holiday. It is rude to come on that day does not matter what the message.
If someone came to the KH on the memorial with their message of what their viewpoint was and tried to give their literature away freely and kept talking to every car that pulled up to go into the hall on the memorial you know they would be asked to leave. It would be rude and insensitive of them to do this to JW.
Funny how jw get up in arms about being direspected when someone says happy bday or merry xmas to them but they go to that persons home where they celebrate their own traditions thinking it is ok to peddle their jw opinions on that day and how dare the householder get upset.
..no one looks at it as anything more then an attack on their personal space, home and family life and their religon. I have had so many ask me this why that day why bug them on their speacial day...

It's not your problem what others do in their home is it? I find it rude and I don't celebrate it and I have always felt this way.

I don't think it does anything for the JW to come out on that day but provoke people into not listening to their message the next time cause they have been afronted at their door. It's not about what you think of each others religon it is a you being confrontational. so would you rather waite until the next day or would you rather shove it in their face. The old saying you get more bees with honey applies here just saying. If you want people to listen to your message you need to have some manners and tact.

Yes we do son. Now put that twinkie down.Maybe you would be better off going to a real church where they worship god rather than a windowless building filled with pedofiles!!

There aew quite a few problems with your statement.

1: As common as it might be, even if he were on the site and ready to type,it would still take over 30 seconds on a touch phone to type "they are ringing the door bell NOW
TALK TO YOU LATER"

2: I personally don't know of a single Witness who knocks on doors on Christmas day. I do know of ones who do streetwork but, NONE that knock on doors because, we agree, it is rude.
The chances of a Witness knocking on a door, the SAME DOOR of someone who HATES Witnesses is VERY slim indeed.

3: Witnesses don't get disrespected when someone wishes them a Merry Christmas. The exception being when the "well wisher" KNOWS that the Witness does not celebrate Christmas.

4: We expect the householder to sometimes get upset and I honestly in my heart hope that me knocking on someones door at 10:00 in the morning is the absolute WORST thing to happen to the person who answers.
