Coco Rocha one of the celebrity judges on the show "the Face" has come out as a devout JW.

While she admitted it is not easy. But, she does manage to navigate through both worlds. Her husband is also a JW.

Good for her.

In an industry plagued by alleged illicit drug use, tardiness and over sized Ego's on on the part of some.

I'm sure that is part of the reason why they will put up with stringent demands.

She is clearly respected.

Many pros view her as a breathe of fresh air in this all too cynical industry.

I am glad that showing it is possible.

Still, she has to be very careful. The fact that her JW husband is there every step of the way is a big step toward her stability in the industry.

==========

Ironically, Naomi Campbell who's mother is a devout JW can't stand her. LOL!

Correction: I am glad that she is showing that it is possible and can be done.

Naomi (who's mother is a devout JW) probably feels that she can say whatever she wants to Cocoa and knows that Cocoa will put up with her nonsense, because she has such a good girl reputation.

Naomi is a bully.

Other denominations have been saying this for years that one can pursue various careers and be a Christian

Jw have spent decades discouraging and scaring the heck out of its youth in terms of college and careers

Good to see jw catching up to the real world and not that goodie man will get you world

Strangely enough. I have to agree with you here.

The girl has it going on. Why shouldn't she pursue it?. As long as she doesn't neglect her faith.

She is grounded.

you are correct and that is the whole point- ones faith if built on sand will fall regardless of your career

if your faith is built on rock it will stand

I think it's awesome. Most girls would love to have a career like hers (myself included). I'm only 5 foot 4 inches tall, so that'll never happen. (Not to say I don't love my job. I do)

exactly and we can only imagine the number of young JW kids who had dreams like this lady back in the 60's 70'80, etc who were discouraged from the platform, district conventions and various wt speakers from elders, co to bethel speakers about pursuing a "worldly" career

i can see what the DO and CO would say if a young sister face is appearing on the side of buses and bill boards- SEEKING GLORY LIKE SATAN WANTS TO BE SOMEBODY, JUST dog dog dog

Can you see Jesus wanting to be a spokesman for some worldly company in its advertisement

"your brothers and sister why not advertise the KING AND HIS KINGDOM INSTEAD OF SOME ENERGY DRINK"

You know what they say about blondes. No wonder she is a devout Watchtower's Witness.

Save the sarcasm.

She is NOT a Watchtower witness.

She is a devout Jehovah's Witness.

So.....What do they say about blondes and how does it relate to her?.

I would say she is a very smart girl to know how to navigate through that cut throat world and still hold her own as a witness.
She has a brand and she is marketing it quite well. I just hope she realizes that it won't last forever.

==========

BTW

She is a not blonde. She is a natural redhead. A very good looking one at that.
