One of the greatest lies in history has to be that Jesus came back to our planet earth invisibly in 1914. When He arrived at Brooklyn, N.Y., He delivered the greatest good news only to the Watchtower Society. Yes, Jesus appointed the Watchtower Society to be the faithful and discreet slave. Jesus said that only the Watchtower Society passed the ultimate test and therefore the Society deserved to be the only visible God's organization on earth. Without the Watchtower Society a man cannot obtain salvation. Thus every man, woman and child has to 'come to the Watchtower Society for salvation'. Wow!!!!!!!!!!

Carl Sagan shares some thoughts much like yours in regards to the WT 1914 Doctrine Package

"Doctrines that make no predictions are less compelling than those which make correct predictions; they are in turn more successful than doctrines that make false predictions. "

But not always.

One prominent American religion confidently predicted that the world would end in 1914. Well, 1914 has come and gone, and -- while the events of that year were certainly of some importance -- the world does not, at least so far as I can see, seem to have ended.

There are at least three responses that an organized religion can make in the face of such a failed and fundamental prophecy. They could have said, "Oh, did we say `1914'? So sorry, we meant `2014.' A slight error in calculation.

Hope you weren't inconvenienced in any way." But they did not. They could have said, "Well, the world would have ended, except we prayed very hard and interceded with God so He spared the Earth."

But they did not. Instead, they did something much more ingenious. They announced that the world had in fact ended in 1914, and if the rest of us hadn't noticed, that was our lookout.

It is astonishing in the face of such transparent evasions that this religion has any adherents at all. But religions are tough.

Either they make no contentions which are subject to disproof or they quickly redesign doctrine after disproof. The fact that religions can be so shamelessly dishonest, so contemptuous of the intelligence of their adherents, and still flourish does not speak very well for the tough-mindedness of the believers.

But it does indicate, if a demonstration were needed, that near the core of the religious experience is something remarkably resistant to rational inquiry.[Carl Sagan, Broca's Brain,Ballantine Books, New York, 1982, pp. 332-3]

The scritures teach us that Jesus has been present with His church and people since the
begining of it's foundations. The early Christians were told by Christ that His presence
would always be with them.
Look at Matthew 28: 19-20...
19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to
observe all things that I have commanded you;
and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

He did'nt say "Look lads I will be with you in 1914"
No ..
He said "I am (ego emi, I am, present tense) with you always, even to the end of the age".

Also we are told by Jesus again at Matthew 18:19-20....

19"Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that
they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20For where two or three are
gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."

At the end of the day I think I will believe what Jesus says about His presence to His people
recorded in the Bible, than something which False Prophets says happened invisibly in 1914..

Gareth's nakedness uncovered:

*** w05 1/15 p. 14 par. 20 Christ—The Focus of Prophecy ***

Even before 1914, a small band of anointed Christians began to grasp important truths about the Lord’s return. For instance, they discerned that it would be invisible, as implied by the two angels who appeared in 33 C.E. to the disciples while Jesus was ascending to heaven.

Gareth's nakedness uncovered:

*** w84 12/1 p. 17 par. 12 Keep Ready!***

When the enthroned Lord Jesus inspected his household in 1919, he found the group of Christians associated with the Watchtower magazine loyally striving to “keep on the watch” with the help of spiritual “food at the proper time.” Until this very day, that “slave” class has faithfully continued to provide spiritual food to enable the Master’s “domestics” and their companions to “keep looking, keep awake.”

*** w90 3/15 p. 14 par. 21 ‘The Faithful Slave’ and Its Governing Body ***

In 1918, when Jesus Christ inspected those claiming to be his slaves, he found an international group of Christians publishing Bible truths for use both inside the congregation and outside in the preaching work. In 1919 it truly turned out to be as Christ had foretold:“Happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds him doing so. Truly I say to you, He will appoint him over all his belongings.”(Matthew 24:46, 47) These true Christians entered into the joy of their Master. Having shown themselves “faithful over a few things,” they were appointed by the Master to be “over many things.”

Gareth's nakedness uncovered:

And while now the witness yet includes the invitation to come to Jehovah’s organization for salvation...

*** w93 9/15 p. 22 They Compassionately Shepherd the Little Sheep ***

But if we were to draw away from Jehovah’s organization, there would be no place else to go for salvation

Someone throw Gareth a robe to cover his nakedness.

As usual UNchained is a deceiver. He is using out of context quotes to misrepresent the truth.

This is what Gotyou said:

"One of the greatest lies in history has to be that Jesus came back to our planet earth invisibly in 1914."

This is not true. As I said, NONE of what he said was true.

Jehovah's Witnesses DO NOT TEACH that Jesus came back to planet earth in 1914. They teach that he did not visit earth in person, but that he TURNED HIS ATTENTION to the earth whilst remaining in heaven.

*** w74 4/15 p. 255 Questions From Readers ***

But there is no Scriptural reason for us to conclude that Jesus was to descend from heaven literally and that the resurrection and glorification of those sleeping in death would be visible to humans on earth. Why not? Because Jesus Christ, as a spirit person in heaven, "dwells in unapproachable light." "Not one of men has seen or can see" him as such.(1 Tim. 6:16) His situation is therefore comparable to that of his heavenly Father.(Heb. 1:2, 3) So Jesus Christ 'descends' or 'comes down' in the same sense that the Bible speaks of Jehovah God as doing so. For example, the Holy Scriptures say about Jehovah: "He proceeded to bend the heavens down and to descend; and thick gloom was beneath his feet." (2 Sam. 22:10) "Look! Jehovah is going forth from his place, and he will certainly come down and tread upon earth’s high places." (Mic. 1:3) Manifestly, God did not literally leave his dwelling place in the invisible heavens, but he turned his attention to humans on earth, demonstrating his power toward them. Similarly, at his presence, as the apostle Paul indicated, Jesus Christ would turn his attention downward to this earth and exercise his power to resurrect his joint heirs sleeping in death.

This is ANOTHER LIE, despite UNchained's deceptive quote.

Jesus did nOT appoint the Watchtower Society to anything at all.

It was the group of Christians who were appointed, NOT the Watchtower Society as Gotyou claims and as UNchained deceptively implied.

Yet another lie.

Again UNchained is a deceiver, presenting a quote to make it look like it is true.

Here is UNchained's quote:

*** w81 11/15 p. 21 par. 18 ‘Stay Awake and Keep Your Senses’***

And while now the witness yet includes the invitation to come to Jehovah’s organization for salvation...

***

If you notice it is NOT the Watchtower that is beine spoken about at all it is "God's organization".

What is God's organization?

Well NOT the Watchtower Society, that's for sure.

To Jehovah's Witnesses God's organization os everything God has organized INCLUDING the Christian congregation.

In this context "God's organization" should be taken to mean the Christian congregation.

But t most definitely does NOT mean the Watchtower Society which is what the liars Gotyou, Karen and UNchained want you to believe.

Not one thing Gotyou said was true. EVERYTHING he said was twisted, misrepresentative and misleading.

UNchained then tried to make Gotyou's lies look believable using out-of-context quotes that don't tell the real story.

Karen added weight to their lies by pretending they were true, making herself very much a party to them.
