The hate mongers are in full force on this news site.

Many who have been "shunned" are adulterers, child abusers, drunkards, drug addicts who don't want help (which is supplied), fornicators and the list goes on and on.

I wonder how many commentators are guilty of the above but claim "they have been done wrong" by the Witnesses.

They don't want the "general public" to know why they are "shunned" or "kicked out" usually because of their disgusting conduct.(which they refuse to change) They just want to moan over their lot in life brought on by themselves.

Maybe Topix should do an article about how Witnesses address the abuse problem. All the info Topix needs is HERE. Child abuse, read how it is really handled http://thirdwitness.com/childabuse/default.ht... .

I think you'll find that most posters don't waste their energy hating something that they consider to be beneath contempt.

When people consider something to be "beneath contempt" they don't spend any time showing contempt for it.

Clearly there is a LOT of hatred being leveled towards Jehovah's Witnesses. And this thread makes a good point. People who get thrown out of the congregation get thrown out for a reason NOT that they'd tell you honestly what it was.

many hear that disagree with washed our policyand teachings truly love Jehovah's Witnesses as a people! I know I do. I would not waste my time here if I did not.it is many times the ones here that defend the watchtower that show a hateful and judgmental attitude toward those that do not agree with many of the watchtowers teachings, especially on prophecy and the governing body being masters over your faith. man who demand on questioning your loyalty yet do not take responsibility as inspired prophets!

Matt.18:9 He spoke also this parable to certain people who were convinced of their own righteousness, and who despised all others.
18:10 "Two men went up into the temple to pray; one was a Pharisee, and the other was a tax collector.
18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed to himself like this:'God, I thank you, that I am not like the rest of men, extortioners, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.
18:12 I fast twice a week. I give tithes of all that I get.'
18:13 But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn't even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying,'God, be merciful to me, a sinner!'
18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted."

Lying about false prophecy and disfellowshiping thousands for staning up for truth, is no better than the long list of evil the WTS profess to hate in others!

As far as the handling of judicial matters, particularly child molestation cases, instead of a he said she said type of thing or stating I watched our current policy. Let's look at the fax.
the watchtowers judicialhandling of matters cherry picks God's Way of doing things. They demand a to witness rule, at least they did in the past which Mac there must be a corroborating witness to the incident or accusations. However the way the Jewish court was handled is similar to the court system in the United States. It was held out in the open where all the older men hearing testimony of both sides with any interested parties being able to hear the testimony. In this setting it is much more likely that a liar would be found out and another witness would come forward to the activity of a sinner if it was done in secret or at least if it was a pattern of behavior someone would be much more likely to come forward if this was truly a pattern of behavior. However the watchtower handles things in secret with two or three elders and the accused and their families or anyone else directly involved. By doing this number one. If someone else in the congregation was not coming forward on something what at this time have an opportunity to do so number 2 if there was not at least the entire congregation would hear the testimony and see if it had the ring of truth and if this accused person was Deaned innocent or no corroborating testimony could be given at least it would be noted if this person was acting in a manner that would allude to the charges, thus protecting the entire congregation.
also the watchtower has paid out millions of dollars every year to settle out of court with victims of child abuse. This is either admitting they were wrong or basically submitting to blackmail which would neither be faithful nor discreet.

You're feeling robust and energetic, and you have a strong urge to do whatever appeals to you. This may mean that you postpone something that you don't fancy doing so you can have more fun with another activity. You'll also be quite forceful when talking to partners, especially if you want to persuade them into seeing things from your point of view. But will you know when to back off? Let's hope so!

Interesting post. The statements you used in your post are actually the talking points that the wt writers provide their readers when they need to defend something they have published that is wrong

You listed a number of things that most folks would consider as being wrong indeed

But there are posters like myself who is not dfed nor written a letter of a letter Daing

My wife and I celebrate 25 yrs

Don't smoke and get drunk but do enjoy using my Vitamix blender to make some mean Pina coladas

You have not asked anyone why they left but per wt talking points you ASSums you knew

First mistake demonstrating why many do not consider jw critical thinkers

For the sake of argument

If Someone on this forum had committed all these bad things you have ASSumed about them

Could you explain to the nonjw readers how that helps the wt editorial staff errors in theological teachings

In other words how does TWO WRONGS MAKE ONE RIGHT

And this is your fondest wish, is it not, that all ex-JWs are morally bankrupt individuals who were "thrown out" because of their unrepentant, disgusting conduct?

Sorry, but that is not the case. SOME JWs were thrown out for those types of sins, and, while at the time they might have been supposedly "unrepentant" many of them were wracked by guilt and went crawling back to the JW organization.

Of course, any "help" they received in order to overcome their addictions was NOT given to them by the JWs, but they either pulled themselves up by their own bootstraps, or they went to worldly sources in order to get help.

JWs just wash their hands of such "sinners" until those sinners are able to "fix" themselves and crawl back.

Very often, the sinners who claim that they are repentant are merely good liars and they want to remain as JWs in good standing simply because the congregations are a fertile field for them to exercise their perversions. The real "sinners" are most likely STILL considered by you to be a good brother or sister in the "truth."

Sadly for you, however, the majority of posters here were NOT "thrown out" but they walked away simply because they could no longer ignore the lies, hypocrisy and nastiness within the JW organization.

They don't "hate" JWs, as much as you want to believe that. They "hate" what is being done to JWs by the religious publishing company masquerading as the "only true religion."

"Clearly there is a LOT of hatred being leveled towards Jehovah's Witnesses. "

Why do you consider pointing out the errors of the wt writers as hating jw??

Do you really believe that the vast majority of former jw here hate the little old jw sister in NC???

"And this thread makes a good point. People who get thrown out of the congregation get thrown out for a reason NOT that they'd tell you honestly what it was."

For disagreeing with the Wt writers explanation of scripture is not a sin Gareth you do know that right

I wonder how many watchtower defenders here are secretly practicing sin behind the organization I mean jehovah's back? it has been on my experience that the most judgemental witnesses are usually the 1 is doing the most irrepressible things!

Just asking cause I used to feel the same way

Like you I was told and as a former elder and bethelite I would teach others like you that those who were classed as apostates had more Than likely been involved in all kinds of vile things

So when I came to forums like this I would as so I didn't need to assume
What I found especially among those who left for doctrinal reason

It was not some vile sin

But merely not accepting the wt writers explanation if scripture

On paper is sounds good to say
He committed fornication or homosexuality or left his wife etc

It's more dramatic than saying he realized the wt writers were clueless on a number of doctrines we taught as the truth to our neighbors out in service

I was a former bethelite and elder

Doing well per organization standards
Regards district and circuit parts and talks

In a good Congo there were 5 former bethelites on the body

We ran it like a little bethel the co loved us since many co are former bethelites
We would shot the bull telling bethel war stories after the co meeting with the elders

We would also get into topics off limits with most co
The po at the time was bethelite who went to gilead served as a missionary
Got pulled the branch as part of the branch committee

Was invited to be a voting member if the society every oct

Wad flown back to the USA each oct to vote
Wife got sick and came back to DC
Kept his voting privileges and was a local heavy
So this is my background. Can't speak for other posters

But the wife and were never mistreated
Never felt left out of happenings in the hall

Was lived by the friends and we all still had connections back at bethel
So getting betel speakers was a matter if us inviting our old buddies down to DC

Train from my to DC is cheap so was no real expense for the Congo

Folks from other halls came cause we kept a reg flow of bethel buddies coming thru

So for me it was doctrinal issues plain and simple

not everything is as it seems. If you are a born in witness and really believe it is the truth, and you are told you should be the happiest person on the earth, and when you are overwhelmed with depression manny witnesses and up self medicaid ing through alcohol and drugs and some into im morality. When you tell people you are supposed to be having exquisite joy and you think you're doing everything you can and not experiencing it and really believe the religion, you think something is wrong with you!then many people when thay slip into these things feel so guilty but no matter what they do in the organization they still feel miserable so it be comes a catch 22 and a self for filling prophecy such as if you do these things satan is controlling you. If you really believe these things they have a lot of power over a person. The sad thing is many people who slip into this are because they do believe the watchtower society and think they are just not good enough. since you can't live up to" God's standard "satan has you and you could die any day at armageddon you might is well eat drink and be merry 4 tomorrow we shall die!

You continually confuse disagreement with hate.
People don't hate the Witnesses. They do not hate the people.
They likely hate the actions of the GB.
This does not mean they hate the people themselves.

Disagreement is not hate.
Disagreement is not persecution.

Do you really think the majority of the anti jws here were thrown out? It's difficult for the average jw to understand that people would just leave, so they have to justify it with accusations of all sorts of debauchery.
