You have that totally wrong...walking with our Brothers and Sisters, is not following man. We ALL follow Christ. Noone else. As I have said...if you go to a church...you do follow whoever is the preacher, clergyman...whatever. You go by his ideas and whatever doctrines he expouses. IE, Jim Jones, Koresh etc. However that is your privilege.

No one going to a church is told they must believe everything the pastor says as though it is from God and if you don't you will be disfellowshipped, shunned and be bird food when Armageddon comes. If you believe that then you are following men. As a JW , You as well as your brothers and sisters are following the men of the WTS who tell you you must not read and study the bible alone without their literature.

Good point Dee. As an example of this... There are two or three doctrines which the church I attend believe and I don't. I have questioned and expressed my belief about them and guess what? They still love me and let me come to services. Wow! Now there's a new concept: unconditional love!
I continue to attend because the core beliefs about God, Christ and the HS and God's will for our lives is exactly the same as what I believe. Plus, through all the churches I have been in my life, I have never felt the presence of God, christ and the HS more than I have in this church. They live in and through the people of this congregation. I wish all people could experience what I do through my church family. they are the epitome of who god is.

There will always be some differences simply because people are different and God knows this.. It is the core beliefs that matter for no one has everything correct.

Those core beliefs are dictated by God and other beliefs come from an individual's mind as to what he sees the scriptures telling him.

The JW's are not allow to use their God given freedom to read scriptures alone and allow the Holy Spirit to teach them and see the wonders of Gods words for they only have other men's interpretation instead of their won. They have no real knowledge of God or a relationship with Him or His Son as every belief is filter through men who have been proven, by their own literature, to be false teachers and false prophets...yet they still cling to these men rather then going directly to God and Jesus.

Of course you do, otherwise you wouldn't go to the church you go to. You buy into whatever he tells you to believe.

how about looking into the now published missing books from the bible that men had ommitted in the third century. maybe you would change your tune on any organized religion. all you need is Jesus in your heart to be saved and live like he would. if you feel the need to share your belief with others, that is fine, but know this, that anyone who causes a certain belief that is wrong, is also blood guilty and will answer not to the elders, but to God!

lol I don't go to any church, Nomi and I would never go to any church that said you must believe what we tell you for we are Gods' mouthpiece and what we say does not come from man but from God. "Overseers of Jehovah’s People", The Watchtower, June 15, 1957, "Let us now unmistakably identify Jehovah’s channel of communication for our day, that we may continue in his favor ... It is vital that we appreciate this fact and respond to the directions of the “slave” as we would to the voice of God, because it is His provision."
Nor would I go to a chuch that said you must come to our org for salvation when I know Jesus is the onnly way not an org.

To receive everlasting life in the earthly Paradise we must identify that organization and serve God as part of it." Watchtower 1983 Feb 15 p.12

Those are the things the WTS claim not any church . I buy into the scriptures only,Nomi but for argument sake, If I did, does that excuse you into buying into an org that has been proven wrong by their own literature?

Then you are contradicting the Watchtower which says plainly that you follow them, "the slave" and that they follow Christ.

Right?

I have never known them to say that, C. We are encouraged to follow the Bible, along with them, as Brothers and Sisters in the Faith.

Quote: "Thus the Bible is an organizational book and belongs to the Christian congregation as an organization, not to individuals, regardless of how sincerely they may believe that they can interpret the Bible," (Watchtower, Oct. 1, 1967, p. 587).

.We should meekly go along with the Lord's theocratic organization and wait for further clarification, rather than balk at the first mention of a thought unpalatable to us and proceed to quibble and mouth our criticisms and opinions as though they were worth more than the slave's provision of spiritual food. Theocratic ones will appreciate the Lord's visible organization and not be so foolish as to put against Jehovah's channel their own human reasoning and sentiment and personal feelings," (Watchtower, Feb. 1, 1952, p. 79-80).

No, Nomi your org expects you to follow them and you are not to read scriptures without their literature and only their interpretation is aloud. No bible reading and discerning for yourself.

You must believe even the errors until they tell you differently and until they tell you differently you must believe those errors are truth from God. It is a sick cult.

I don't accept people's opinions, who are known to be anti-JW. I know who I follow, C, and thats aqll that matters to me. If you go to a church, you follow whoever the preacher, clergyman, etc...who preaches there. So people can say what they want to, I am sure of my Faith and WHO I AM DEVOTING MY WORSHIP TO.

Nomi, you don't even accept the scriptures without the fallible men of the WTS telling you to accept all the lies, twisting, and flip flops and they convinced you these all came from God. It is pure idiocy from men.... just like thinking you need to belong to an org for salvation when you know that is not true.

She knows this ,in her prideful ways will not save her ,people as you know have given her ALL the proof needed ,yet she CHOOSES TO STAND BEHIND MEN rather than God and JESUS ...

"Hard" as in will they physically bar the door to prevent you from walking out? No.

"Hard" as in will they use the full arsenal of their control techniques to get "friends" and family to shun and disown you until you swear allegiance to the Governing Pharisees? Yes.
