Hi Yogosans14<quoted text>
Thank you for your concern but Jesus gave us the model pray to pray to the father (Yahweh/Jehovah/LORD)
I do not accept the Trinity yet so I cannot pray directly to Jesus.
Thanks and God bless
Please read 1st Corinthians 1:2
In the New King James it says:
To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called [to be] saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
Acts 7:59 and 7:60 in the English Standard Version says:
And as they were stoning Stephen, he called out, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit."
And falling to his knees he cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
And he said, "Who are you, Lord?" And he said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.
9:14 and 9:15
And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name."
9:15 But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel.
As you can see from the scriptures above, the early Christians were calling on the name of Jesus. Don't let the JWs fool you and lie to you. Let the bible guide you instead.
I would also suggest that you read Romans chapter 10, the whole chapter and see who it is really talking about, who we are to call on as our Lord for Salvation. Pray first and then read, the whole of Romans chapter 10 and you will see how God opens eyes.
