Is Jesus worthy of worship? I asked this question a couple of times on a couple of posts. I'm pretty new here so forgive me if I'm asking questions that have already been answered. I, of course believe that He is worthy of worship and praise. But do the JW's worship Jesus?

We do not worship Jesus as Almighty God, however, the proper praise, adoration, and devotion is given to Jesus because he is our King, given to us as such by Almighty God Jehovah. Look at this song and tell me we don't worship Jesus to a degree: Song 109 Hail Jehovah’s Firstborn! (Hebrews 1:6) 1. Hail Jehovah’s Firstborn, God’s duly appointed King. He reigns for truth and justice; Rich blessings his rule will bring. With dignity and splendor And love for God’s great name, He’ll vindicate Jehovah, His sov’reignty proclaim. (Chorus) 2. Hail Jehovah’s Firstborn, Who died so that we may live. He humbly paid the ransom; Our sins God can now forgive. The bride of Christ awaits him, Adorned for him in white. This marriage in the heavens Will prove God’s rule is right. (CHORUS) Hail Jehovah’s Firstborn! All praise God’s anointed Son. Installed upon Mount Zion, His Kingship has now begun! (See also Ps. 2:6; 45:3, 4; Rev. 19:8.)

It is not a "kind of" type of thing. Either you view Jesus worthy of worship, or you do NOT. How do you "kinda" worship Jesus? John 14:1 New King James Version (NKJV) The Way, the Truth, and the Life 14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

It was a simple question, that only required a simple answer, Yes or No. Not a "kind of worship".

We as Jehovah's Witnesses Do acknowledge Jesus and we endevor to follow his foot steps closely. However it has always bothered me (as well as others) that we dont seem to give Jesus the honor that is really due. I can say without hesitation that I hear more about the "Faithful and Descrete Slave" or "The Governing Body" more so than what I hear about Christ and personally, I find it sickening. This is one of the things I look forward to seeing corrected when the judgements start with the "House Of God First." Im just speaking honestly here. Im not trying to ruffle any feathers nore am I trying to offend. But the small amount of reconition that we give him seems to be mere token service. What do I mean by that? We rarely talk about him. His name is mentioned at the end of our prayers out of respect but thats about it (from my perspective.) Yes, we talk about him a little more during the memorial celebrations and we print books about how to follow his steps closely....but when it comes to really giving him praise and honor we shy away from it. I dont think the lack of honor is delibrate. I think its because we try so hard to stand out as different from other churches that we've actually crippled ourselves. Again...this is my view, my perspective of the situation. Jehovah's witnesses Love Jesus and accept him as our king and savior. But we have failed to find a balance between Worshiping our God Jehovah and Honoring the Christ.

Different, by you are willing to honestly verbalize things that the JWs have wrong. You said "Jehovah's witnesses Love Jesus and accept him as our king and savior." But the bible lists Isaiah 43:11 New King James Version (NKJV) 11 I, even I, am the Lord, And besides Me there is no savior. How can Jesus be your saviour and not contradict JW doctrine?

It actually requires much more because there is so much confustion on worship and who Jesus Christ is.

Simple, Jehovah sent Jesus, he is responsible for sending Jesus. Therefore Jehovah saves through His Son Jesus Christ.

Of course you don't, so you go round and round in circles trying to explain that Jesus is God, making absolutely no sense.

Do you have an opportunity to reach out so that you qualify to give prayers so that you can mention Jesus? Do you mention Jesus every chance you get in your comments?

But those who are taking the lead, Christ brothers aka, faithful and discrete slave/governing body, They should be the ones setting the utmost example of giving praise to Jesus Christ. After all, isnt he their "Husbandly Owner", and they the "Bride"? Rather than showing honor to "her" Husband, they've taken in honor for themselves. When was the last time you've been to your local kingdom hall and heard a prayer THAT DID NOT include the mentioning of the Faithful slave? If im not mistaken, we even have a kingdom melody that mentions the faithful and descrete slave, which to me is totally presumptuous of them and I for my part refuse to sing it. In fact, I took the liberty of ripping that particular song out of my book. Thats about as far as Im going to go with this because I dont want this to turn in to a Watchtower bashing. But I trust that you understand my frustrations.
