my mother was an active witness and she was creamated when she passed away, and there was still a memorial service at the KH. So, I would say yes.

Witnesses, as far as I know, have no problems with cremation.
Now as individuals you might have some that don't "feel" right about it but, those are personal feelings and not teachings of the WTS at all.

yes aadriver and that is one of the problems ask a simple question and he jumps right in.. but the fact of it is he is not a baptized jw and he and ee behave as if they own this forum.. I have had run ins with Fn but at least he is being kind in answering..

In fact they prefer it! They think by cremating the body that God can't give them the same body back after they are resurrected! What a bunch of idiots!

I have never heard that it is not ok. I know ones who were creamated. The body is dead, it doesn't matter if you bury it or burn it.
